@@holyguy7456 I would argue it's very much stereotypical MC , the writer did a really good service my not making Mumen rider the MC , he put an edge to the series instead of every righteous MC , Mumen rider kinda of reminds me of Gon from Hunter X Hunter , I disliked thier sense of self righteousness , I feel like they think thier worldview is everyone's worldview I liked Saitama for this narrow thinking to be a hero just because he wants to not some self righteous half assed reason Therefore I think Saitama as MC is the reason this is a successful story

@@user-rc1nr9kl5s Well, not quite. They are close but there is a distinct difference. Past Saitama ideally wanted to be a hero who could save everyone by blasting away any foe in one punch. In Saitama's core exists both saving the helpless & overcoming stronger foes at the same time. Now he got so strong that one aspect of that dream (overcoming stronger foes that is) has died. But Mumen Rider is solely driven by a powerful desire to save people witout any desire for or pleasure in the battles that happen in the wake of saving people from monsters or villians. If Mumen had Saitama's power he'd be content bc he can save more lives, unlike Saitama whose power became more of a burden bc he can't feel the thrill of a good fight anymore despite him being able to save more people than he ever could before gaining said power.

Probably because he was heading straight towards the demon level monster that just beat an S class hero, with other S class heroes (Genos) on the way to fight it. If a low-S class couldn't beat it, it wouldn't make sense for anybody below S to be going. At least, it doesn't make sense at first glance.
