Fun fact; (you won't do this unless your drunk asf) if you throw a automatic in park while it was in drive at 45mph; you will blow out all the seals and make your torque converter useless. I replaced the torque converter and managed to just get reverse back; took it to the transmission shop and they resealed all the rubber seals and I gained all gears back.

@@PrestonGarvey69 If you throw an automatic in park at 45, the parking paw wont grab and you'll hear a grinding noise... If you're an idiot the fun starts when you shift into reverse at 60, my buddy did that to me while I was driving his 2003 silverado. Locked the rear tires up, shifted back into drive and took off. Zero damage. I have questions about your story here, blowing out your seals making your torque converter useless would suggest that it had no fluid in it, why would you replace it? Taking it to a shop and them only replacing seals would suggest that there was no internal damage to the transmission, meaning your only issue was that you didn't have enough transmission fluid... Explain to me how replacing your torque converter fixed reverse and nothing else? (I'm assuming you know how to properly measure and fill a transmission with fluid)

Or. When you’re changing the tranny fluid on a 96 7.3 power stroke and you either A. Try to change the gasket, realize the gasket is reusable on this truck and just fucked up your pan. Or b. Cannot for the life of you find that one bolt that held the pan on. Or C. Forget to put the little magnet back in the pan before you put it on and filled it back up.
