I have just come out of a disciplinary hearing. But today 16/07/24 I just woke up with this song in my heart. Higher ground. I know all the odds are against me and I have been asked God for forgiveness. There is just something strange about this song for me today.

😭 I didn't know this hymn was going to make me cry until my dad's funeral. It brought back every memory I have of him from my childhood. I couldn't sing the words because they were drowning in my tears but the words couldn't be more truer.

This song just took me back to my days growing up in the Baptist church with my family. I don't really understand why I am crying but I just remembered God's love and togetherness in my family, and I am truly grateful for what I had in my life growing up.

I discovered this channel in 2021 and her singing really blesses me. It's so anointed and gets me into the spirit. Just crossed into 2023 and haven't found another channel with music that gets me into the atmosphere like this one. This particular song is my favourite. It is a gift of GOD's Spirit. But the syllables we generally speak during worship is our way of connecting to GOD since GOD is SPIRIT and they that worship HIM must worship HIM in SPIRIT and in truth

Beautiful rendition of both these lovely hymns. I had this ( higher ground)as " my song" all those years ago in the mid eighties.. The Lord reminded me, am still on that higher ground as He takes me higher... Beautiful blessing love from New Zealand..
