@@Paginski Pretty difficult to pre-move a rook ladder mate with 1 second to go. He should have promoted to a rook instead of a queen imo

i think it was a smart play by jospem because he deliberately saced the queen and knew exactly what wonderful time would do so this was a great stalemate trap by jospem

Thats just the nature of bullet, playing for a win or draw in a lost position when the opponent has 1 second, is totally ok. No such thing as bad etiquette in bullet.

Rating alone can't get you the grandmaster title. There are also certain tournament conditions one needs to have played under to get GM norms and the guy hasn't been able to get his norms, I suppose.

in bullet most likely yes, not in classical chess. Which is where your FIDE rating is determined and your title is dependent on that amongst a few other things

i think its because he is only good in bullet and blitz, even if you are 3500 in bullet only you will not become a GM

He missed Qg7 check, I think it was a misclick

Nah, it wasn’t a misclick. He wanted to do Qg6 to move the queen between the rooks next move for checkmate, he didn’t realize that Qg6 was stalemate. You are right Qg7+ and then Qg8+ would lead to a checkmate when the queen moves between the rooks, but he was low on time and hindsight’s a bitch
