@@RussianThunderrrI It was long time ago I don't recall details of the video itself. As far as I have tried and learned is, it is very possible to snap roll on descending or level flights. If I kill power to do snap roll on vertical climb, it doesn't have enough airspeed to keep climbing after snapping, without using aileron. I have discussed it with Santiago Perez (not sure if he's famous enough, but he is beyond good) who does good looking snap rolls and what he does is not technically snap roll. Either wing is not fully stalled that is. All competition pilots do almost same looking snaps. When I tried vertical snap roll WITH high power, it moves away (like climbing) from the line and doesn't really roll like a snap roll.

@@turboromy - It’s one of golden rules not to kill power, but have it at about 80% even full scale, and it’s covered on many books on aerobatics. Snap roll is a very draggie maneuver.

@@RussianThunderrr What's your experiences? I only flew full scale Decathlon, never flown Extra or similar. Just sat in cockpit once. Decathlon can barely go up for a stall turn. Never done a snap roll on it. LOTS of spins (no aileron of course) though. So.... what are saying? Is snap roll possible on vertical climb without aileron? I haven't found any in-cockpit video doing so yet.
