SMS, we need to determine the area of a JPEG image and then within that area an anomaly.... that way we can compute the percent that the anomaly is of the total area. Do you recommend ImageJ or jiji ImageJ? We cant calibrate or determine the area of size within the image, that is why we need to determine the percent. The 1st area is essentially a circle the 2nd inside area is somewhat of a triangle. Thanks in advance.

I was thinking to take about 5 measurement of it manually at this point and use a standard deviation, could that work?

Thank you for the video. I am using Image J for analysing my bubbles (from Foam). Since the bubbles are see through, I need to use the manual method for selecting the bubbles. However , this is taking a lot of time and some cases it considers one big bubble as two and calculates the area. What is the solution for this? Though I set the scale initially to cm, it displays results in area percentage. In this case what would be the unit of my results? Please help.

Hi, Great tutorial video ! I have a question, when I clicked the particle size analyzer, a small window popped up and showed a table of area, minimum, maximum, and mean. Do you know what is minimum, maximum, and mean stands for the particle with an abstract shape (its shape is sometimes like rod and sometime like oval) ? (i'm working with micro fibril cellulose/ MFC particle). Im not sure that minimum and maximum stand for width and length, because the value is much larger than area.
