The cards they're holding not only represent the differences between each member, but also show the things they share in common. Pentatonix is a diverse group but they're also connect to each other.

It took me a few watchings before I realized that every word described the member as they held it, turned it over and passed it on. And, although not a song I ever particularly liked but, this was wow, awesome!

Ditto! Never wait in line again! As you mentioned, this song is just as relevant today as it was back when it was written. PTX is a true example of how people of different races, genders, nationalities, religions, & sexual orientation CAN work together, respect each other & live in harmony together (literally, in their case;)! Did you notice on the cards it showed one thing they had in common with the member they passed it to! Very cool! Great reaction!

Excellent! They are a clear example of what the song represents. I like to see your reaction when Kevin sings, you should visit his channel and react to the covers he does ... he sings, plays the cello, does beatbox, piano, etc. You can see the study and quality in the things he does.

I also love how in the part right after Kirstie sings her solo, they all start off with their own individual parts in different keys, staggered, just as they are all unique individuals--but then they all end that part in perfect unity just as we as people, different and unique as we all are, can still find unity and celebrate not only what we have in common but the differences that make us special. Beautifully done by PTX, as always.

That run that Mitch does at the end of his solo atlways gives me chills, as does that "wall of sound" they produce near the end. Kevin's quiet, smooth lovely tenor voice gives just an amazing contrast to the powerful notes they hit just before. And the message was never more appropriate or necessary than now...thanks!

I believe the cards show that, diverse as humans are, we can still come together and make something beautiful. It represents the line of the song "ALL the people" and "the world will be as one" This song is as relevant, even more so, than it was when first released back in 1971.

Never wait in line. We need the red lights in traffic and in life, because everyone needs to take a pause in stressful situations. Driving in traffic and watching out for unthinking pedestrians can be stressful. Also letting the other guy go first is a good thing. taking turns is a good thing.

Such a beautiful song! I've always loved this song and they make it sound even more beautiful and the message that much more powerful. John Lennon would be proud. Answer: I wouldn't want to wait in line. Exactly....what you said about traffic lights not lasting long and you're sitting down listening to music in your car 😃 Waiting in lines is brutal!!!

I'd never wait in line again. I liked what you said about if everyone were the same, we'd be robots. But consider this too, it takes difference in thought and opinion for there to be change. Without change we become stagnant and there will never be progress in anything. I, too, believe in the human race not being pigeonholed by color, religion, sexual orientation, social or economical status, or any other divisive groupings. May we all learn to give and recieve with equality in mind. In short, be kind to one another. ❤

For me the PTX take on this track was even if people are varied in many ways, you can still come together ...whether that be harmony or music or just civility. They prove that you only have to share minor similarities to get along. Thanks Suffi - as for the waiting question - I'm a really patient person, so neither actually phase me. I think I would rather wait in line - green traffic lights always freak me out a bit as you never know just when they're going to change to amber or how long the amber will last ! Also, I'm on the West coast of Australia....so our lines really aren't ever that long to be honest. Probably be different if I was lining up at Adventure World with a bunch of kids though :)

After all those differences, those five different people can make a 'wall of sound' like that and make it sound so beautiful. If differences can produce that, what can be achieved if we all got together? Just my take.

Pentatonix always delivers an amazing cover, which they've put their stamp on. It's pretty uncommon for me to say that a cover is just better than the original... but this qualifies. (and Hallelujah and Havana, and Mad World). They're that good.

I would choose to never have to wait in line again. There are times when I actually want to have to stop at a red light - when I need to adjust my music, for example. I would rather be stopped at a light than take my attention from the road while driving. Oh, and I absolutely love this song, both the beautiful singing and the even more beautiful message.

Ahahah, so funny that you bring this subject. I would keep the red light because I’m relaxed in the car, I love to drive listening to the radio. The worst time I had to stand in line was at a PTX show. Lol. We had VIP tickets (Toronto March 2014), we had to be there at 4:30 PM for a 8 PM show. They were moving the line through gift bag and merch before we got to meet the band and have our posters and/or VIP tickets signed. All very exciting. They are so wonderful and pleasant. BUT THEN... it was a stand up only show. (Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhh, we didn’t know and we are 4 mature adults!). Anyway, it was a fantastic show, they are amazing but I have to say, my ears rang for a couple of days from the high pitch screams of the fans and the sound of our knees cracking when we finally sat in the car. Ahahah... *sigh* Oh well. 🤗

Avi (Jewish) and Kevin (Christian) are best friends and were roommates for awhile. They are all amazing humans. This was released in 2017 a few months before the unite the right rally where white supremacists marched chanting "Jews will not replace us" John Lennon died for these beliefs and PTX tried to change us but evil and hate are hard to fight. Some of us continue to push for the change that PTX hoped this video would push for.

It's astonishing we need to be remembered that we are human, mostly when the original song was released many years ago (it seems we did not learn too much in the meantime?). And ironically we'll probably need to be remembered again in the future... Or maybe we can just understand and realize that being "human" is exactly being as we are now, Anyway PTX did a fantastic job with this one and I'm sure this song will become even greater overtime. Concerning lights, I would rather prefer to find them all in green, but the bigger a city is the more I understand some of them have to be red . Finding "my" lights all green means someone will find "theirs" red... Could you please react to "never Enough" from Citizen Queen (a female a capella group put together by Scott from PTX). You won't be disappointed. Thanks! See you in the next one

Everything you said about the message, they're all different, but they're all human. AND, they are five distinctly different voices who blend together to make such a beautiful sound. So I see that as an interesting parallel. Waiting for a light to change is waiting your turn, just like waiting in line. So I don't see a whole lot of difference between the two, except that in my vehicle I'm sitting rather than standing, listening to music I choose, so I'm more comfortable. Not really sure why I'm so much more impatient waiting for traffic than I am in line at the store.

Hmmm. I love when the traffic lights turn green when you approach, but you don't have to wait so long if they are red. Besides we have more roundabouts here. Standing in line is unpredictable, it can take a loooong time. So I guess I would choose not having to stand in line.

Nicely done, Suffi. I like that the message wasn't lost on you, as I've seen it lost on a few before this. And, the message in the video is always appropriate, but much more so, it seems, in these times. We're more divided than ever before, it seems to me, by politics, religion, race, sex, world-view, money...whatever, but at the end of the day we're all still human. I try, the Gods know I don't always succeed but I DO try, to always keep that in mind. And I, like you, would much rather not have to wait in line. Traffic lights suck, sometimes, sure. But, lines are the bane of my existence, I swear.

You're right, Scott has a really wide range, which doesn't happen by accident, so he has to be good at the bio-mechanics of voice placement. With some natural talent you get about 2.5 octaves. Add some hard work and you spread that to 3. Scott has 4, so lots of smart/hard work. He covers bass when Avi is on a solo and is constantly switching between baritone support, baritone lead, tenor support and tenor lead. I would prefer the green lights. I'm not in line much, probably because I have atypical interests and also because I live in the Southwest, not in heavily urban settings. I spend more time driving to small places with few lines.
