I am a HS band director, and this is one of my top go-to videos to get my students fired up about chamber music. Thank you SO much for your amazing musicianship, and showing our young musicians what it means to really dig into the music! I want all of my students to play like you!!!

Spectacular!. The Imani Winds' expressiveness is great to see. This group is as much fun to watch as to hear, and the hearing is great! Brilliant. The ancestors are on their feet.

You just can't get any better than this. So many colors come from this ensemble that are extremely difficult to achieve!

This arrangement is ridiculous. And so is the level of musicianship in this ensemble. My first taste of Imani Winds and I am still in disbelief!!!

Wow, just amazing work all around. This is the most impressive arrangement of Libertango I've heard, from what must certainly be one of the best wind quintets in the world!

First heard Piazzolla on an episode of "Session at W54th Street" when I as in high school. Whether it is duo, trio, quartet, or even "nueftet" ( dry humor lovers back me up here)- I LOVE CHAMBER MUSIC. Thank you all for this.

Wonderfully musical performance! The improvisation (from the original ostinato) in the bassoon part from H - L is incredible! It adds a new layer of excitement to this already spectacular performance. Thanks for sharing.

This sounds almost nothing like it you need a saxophone to make it a bit bright because it sounds kind of depressing and tango isn't depressing but it is really good by the way this is coming from a high school band director orchestra teacher and jazz teacher

Wow. I was thinking just the opposite--that one would have to be dead to not be lifted by their playing. Given that most tangos are in minors keys, that's a signal that the tune is to invoke mystery if not sadness/regret even as one dances. As such, I think the Imani Winds execute this perfectly. Pianists Katia and Gvantsa Buniatishvilli also have a great piano version. Best wishes to your students.
