Love the new rescue! Lester please try to remember that the more chaotic your voice is and your demeanor the more chaotic a horse will be around you. At least until they learn that you're not truly chaotic. Calm and confident helps new horses to acclimate.

I love the way she gets the zoomies, and then comes over to check in with you, and get a scratch. She’s looking for reassurance. She hooks up with you very well. Whoever had her before did a great job gentling her.

She’s just young and feeling herself! Sowing her wild oats. She’s not naughty! Totally normally she’s just playing and having fun. I think she’s a quarter horse so very fast and agile.

She is testing the boundaries of a new place. Stand your ground and don't let her push you around. She looks like a sweet and energetic girl.

Lester, please don’t make any pre-judgments. She’s a young Philly. She’s about a year or two old and she’s what they call a blue roan as she gets older she’s going to change in color to be what they call a gray and she is a beautiful beautiful horse. Please try not to break her spirit and enjoy her while you have her as a blessing to receive a gift like that because the owners could’ve sold her at the sale barn’s over there in Texas and there’s plenty of sale barns but they trusted you to take care of her and give her a good home. Just food for thought you take care and enjoy your new gift🤠.

Oh wow. Her previous owners really should be applauded. They could of taken her to an auction and gotten a little bit of money for her and she would of been sent off to slaughter.....they cared enough about this girl to put her somewhere they knew she'd be absolutely loved and cared for. I know their heart hurts. Yall did the right thing.

That is definitely normal behavior of a young horse. New place, new smells and new friends. She's just excited and hyper. She's absolutely beautiful. She looked like a grey in the stall out in the field she looks like a grulla. I have a grulla gelding that looks a lot like her.

What a doll she is! She was feeling her wheaties so happy to be free with food and water. You saw as soon as she got some food she was all spunky running around. Like the previous owner said they were having trouble feeding her so she was so happy to have some fresh food and water. Oh I love her already! A gift from Dixie girl for sure ❤

She is a yearling filly. Young horses are playful. This baby has beautiful moves. Lovely girl. She has been handled which is good. She could have some speed! What a gift!

I know it was very difficult for the family to give up their horse. I’m glad they loved her enough to realize they were unable to provide her a stable home. They didn’t wait until she started showing signs and symptoms of starvation. They picked the right place and people to give her a good life.

Calm yourself down around horses, Lester! They are very sensitive creatures and respond to calm and gentle ways. If you are anxious they will be anxious, if you are calm, they will be calm etc. Very smart animals.

I watch several horse rescues and, honestly, she is one of the most beautiful fillies I've seen!!!! Its joy that were seeing from what others are saying! This sassy youngling is going to need quite a bit of training in the future. She'd be a good horse for a young family like Brianne's. She'd also potentially be a good younger friend for Beverly too. Id consult Rick on how to start teaching her proper manners for safety & maybe see if Rick knows of a local horse trainer for training her once shes old enough to be broke. No matter what she's ended up in the right place where she will find the right home for her wether its here, with Bri, back at LHL's or wherever.

She’s beautiful. Reminds me of my part Arabian gelding. I also had a chestnut purebred gelding. She’s just running because she’s probably not used to having so much room to run. She’s not mean-just happy. When she’s old enough to break she will be pretty under saddle. Rick can probably help a lot with training techniques. You probably are going to want to get her vet checked and check her hooves to see how they are. I feel bad for all of the people in Texas who are suffering so much in this terrible drought. I think that the family who gave her up knows your pages and knows who will be best to care for this pretty filly.❤❤
