I fell in love with wonderful Betsy Palmer during the GSN reruns of I've Got A Secret. I met her twice at autograph shows; she is still a doll.

In the mid 80s I dined with Betsy Palmer on several occasions when we were guests at monthly parties hosted by our mutual GP. She was lovely and treated me kindly. Im embarrassed to think how shallow my conversations must have been at the time. I hated horror films & had never seen Friday 13th. so Im sure Mrs Palmer must have found me to be an escape. The truth was that I didnt have a clue! A truly lovely down-to-earth lady with an innate charm!

I met her in person a couple of weeks ago and was wearing casual shirts with a polo shirt. I told her I was dressed as a camp counselor. She said she would go easy on me because she said I looked like a nice young man...... if she only knew (lol). Still, she's a super nice lady.

Ms. Palmer proved herself as prophetic . Maybe her friendship with a mature Joan Crawford gave her insight to do Mrs. Voohrees .

@thedarthflagger not true, there a few other Pamela Voorhees after Betsy, in part 3, Pamela was played by Marilyn Poucher and in Freddy vs. Jason, she was played by Paula Shaw while in the remake, Pamela was played by Nana Visitor

I love this woman. I saw her years ago in a Joan Crawford film. She's a real actress who is notorious for playing a villain. FTT is a terrible film but she makes it worth watching.

Best movie serial killer ever. Sorry Freddy and Hannibal Lecter, but Mrs Voorhees was the most terrifying. She could bake you a nice tray of cookies.....then chop your fucking head off, drink your blood and make a shrine from your bones if you complained that the cookies were a little too sweet.
