Personally i think we're the only planet with life. It took billions of years and the *exact* right things at the exact right time for life to develop on earth. Since we're alive of course we're thinking "why are we the special ones", but I don't think we're special, we're just lucky. Its kinda like if you ask yourself, "why was I so special to be the sperm that made it", well your not special, you just so happened to be the one that made it.
