The International Monetary Fund warns that South Africa's economic growth is likely to decline. An IMF team, which was visiting South Africa, says this is due to the ongoing power cuts. SA GDP growth is projected to decline to 0.1% in 2023. Economist Duma Gqubule elaborates.

Why not? This is true for nearly every country on earth. Here in Europe our countries are not controlled by our puppet politicians but by an international financial oligarchy. The standard of living has been declining for the majority of Europeans for over 2 decades now while the billionairs in Europe see 20 - 30% increase in their WEALTH (not just income) per year. Which country isn´t ruled - in reality - by the interests of the super rich?

Hi Duma, SA is a collapsed state. Take a look at ESKOM. I stay in Mpumalanga Province surrounded by hundreds of coal mines and Power stations. With the coal reserves that will last us more than 400 years but we pay so much for electricity. People in Soweto are not paying for services let alone ESKOM bills. The informal settlements around Gauteng are all connected to the grid and who is paying ESKOM. Now the public service strike is over and it is going to cost R700 billion to the government. This side hustling president doesn't care as he is sleeping on Dollars that he doesn't want to account for. Vuka Africa
