According to the Shortman Family Curse, Ole Steely Phil lives another ten years, so he'll be around until Arnold heads off to college. Plus as healthy as Grandma Pookie is, barring any hijinks she'll easily live to 103.

@julianmitchell3035 Way back when, there were plans to make a sequel to Hey Arnold called The Patakis. It would follow around Helga as her family moved away. Her parents would get a divorce and not wanting to deal with the drama, Helga would run away from home and spend the rest of high school living with Arnold as his girlfriend. However the idea was scrapped because Nickelodeon thought it's tone was too similar to Diara, a popular show at the time and it wouldn't get enough attention, which I think was a stupid and lame reason.

Depends on what is considered cannon. Arnold was going to move to the jungle with his parents and helga deals with her life in the hood. Show that was never made. I do believe it’s cannon by the creator, they do marry.

Arnold should have always kept his hat even into his adulthood and finds a new way to wear it as he gets older. This needs to be made into a show. It would bring back some of that good 90’s energy entertainment needs. But These days, cartoons are made into trash, especially reboots. I wouldn’t trust Nickelodeon to handle this.

Well, I don't remember watching much, but I remember the way they were with each other. They are not a couple, just two children who have adventures in everyday life, together with their friends. - is a relationship between a person who is closed to releasing feelings that show vulnerability, for fear of being judged, and another person who is excited and not afraid to show these feelings. It's not a romantic relationship, but a relationship (Not romantic!) between two kids from different backgrounds, in the show. - these comics are very good, I think it would really be that way if they thought of a sequel.

This is making Helga like... Pim to Arnold's Charlie or Tigger to Arnold's Pooh, or Milhouse / Bart, Gumball / Darwin, Louise / Tina, Woody / Buzz Donald / Hickey, Daffy / Bugs, Daffy / Porky, Tick / Arthur Excuse me for a while as I try to remember an obscure anime from the 2000s or 2010s. (Sorry for the longer form than you are used to.) From what I can gather, KZfaq is a good source for people who remember obscure anime when given rather vague or specific details. That being said, this version of Helga reminds me of a character from an anime that I will describe in the 2nd part of this reply (check responses)

Part 2 Obscure show, so tell me if you remember. Do you remember the show with the two space warrior ladies who work for "Lord Oppa-Lotzo" and one of them was this really dedicated, energetic, excited, full-focus, over-eager😊, "ready-for-duty, sir" sort of lady. The other was the more serious, tired, sure whatever, here.we go again, this is happening sort of lady. Like Charlie to tPim, Tina to Louise, Pooh to Tigger, Branch to Poppy. Snot to Steve, or Jeff to Clarence. It was a weird anime that sometimes showed the animator working on the anime.

Huh. I wished her well because her upbringing was fucked up, but I should've respected Helga's 'self control' in her some more so that I could've taken some lessons from it. I couldn't really parse the usefulness of it since that message got muddied by her own bully fall-back state.
