Sadly it is the reality in many families. I have seen how most mil always badmouth their dil in our locality without proper reason. I have an aunty who didn't let her son marry his gf saying she will kill herself and after some years now the boy has done arrange marriage with his mother's own choice still the mother always taunts her dil and even she and family went to their honeymoon also and the boy still didn't complain and even in their anniversary day also she always go with them outside and if the wife says something a out privacy then the husband behaves like he is only his mother's property and everytime the mother says she is getting old and will die soon so they shouldn't quarrel because of her while she is the one instigating the fight. She neither let the wife live in peace nor let them move to another house like it's bad thing to move out and irony is that the mil has never lived with her own mil for even one day. It scares me so much that how bhabi is still tolerating all of this and what I will do if same thing happens to me if I get married in future.
