Go check him out nowadays! He is absolutely Phenomenal! I played with him back when I was in college on trumpet. He is real talent so for those of y’all saying he doing too much or puffing his cheeks out or whatever, y’all gotta remember he was a kid when he did this. You gotta start somewhere and now he doing things with Wynton Marsalis. I’m very proud of him and his progress! It’s only gonna get better and he continues to shine! My man Immanuel putting cats to shame! Haha

Great job, kid! A great country produces great people with great accomplishments. You are great at what you do, and your improv embellishments complimented our great flag!

um.. I have to say...if you search all the sax players playing the Anthem on youtube...this kid is probably in the top 3..compared to all the professional players. I kid you not. They rush, over blow, go flat, get too fancy or not enough. This kid nailed it. He plays just loud enough, has great pitch, ads lib just enough and has nice vibrato. Really impressive.

Impressive to see where he was then and where he is now, he's only 11 years old and playing like that, that's insane!!! Now he play at the Link in NYC and plays with Wynton Marsalis!

As a saxophonist I see the appeal of adding some notes, but a good way to check yourself is skip to a random part of a recording of you playing, and if you can’t recognize the song right away, it means too much has been added. National anthem especially, that’s the song of America and I don’t think it should be changed at all really. Singers will add some intonations but not new notes.

I was thinking the exact thing. He's great, but he seems more into showing his actually great ability and dexterity than actually feeling and let the audience feel such a beautiful theme. As a musician, I would stick to the original notes, although I would let some notes stay a little longer as to let it touch my heart. Let us know how your presentation went.
