I feel like politis alone ain't a houge problem, as long as jenua can't delete 2 of your units turns 1 and 2. If it's just ml politis it's not that bad, just jenua is still a problem

@@xFlow777 There's less and less Jenua in Arena, but still hard to find a team without Phantom. She just allows way too much cancer in. Like making candy and ayufine a problem again...not to mention ml haste and ml Senya just fit right in with her...Is there a situation she's not good?

Glad you typed that already, was gonna say the same.. there is absolutely no way Jenua can kill a 15-17k Wukong with S3 even if his def is not high. Not even close. He completely relies on 100% pen to deal damage with his S3, given the multipliers. Even 95% pen would reduce his damage dramatically.

Maybe I am underselling him. I had a long discussion with one of my best friends about him after I made this video. His penetration resistance actually makes him pretty solid versus ML Haste & ML Senya...surprisingly. I thought he'd be bad versus them but the way their skills are worded, he should be able to survive them. He might actually be better than I gave him credit. Once we see his Soulburn & Artifact, I will most likely do a follow up/update talking about him.

@@im_Tsu Also Luna is capable of having 100% crit resistance (30% passive, 20% snow crystal, 50% from crit rez buff(Diene/Candy). Trying to make her great again.

​@@fuchsenlp Yes, it is additive with 100% cap. But elemental advantage adds 15% crit hit chance on top. So fire unit will have 15% critting Senya/Wukong under crit rez buff. And probably dark unit will have 15% of critting Candy under crit rez buff too.

This is actually what my friend said to me when I talked to him about the character an hour or two ago. I think both you & him are actually quite right.

@@im_Tsu also defense penetration scales differently. Like 50% penetration resists makes a lot of characters damage DROPS a lot since their damage is balanced around the opponent not having any defense factored in. BMH damages drops off a cliff when you seal him and Hwayoung/ CPavel damage drops off heavily too when they don't reach full pen. Like I believe a 35% drop is cutting damage by MORE than HALF against full penetration targets which is massive; even more if it's 50% after Molas if I'm assuming things right. Riolet hits like a truck even with 50% defense pen because his other multis are much higher than units that just straight up ignore defense. So a bulky Wukong is never getting blown up by Jenua just due to how defense penetration works when it drops.

He can't use AoE on s1 unless it's his own turn sadly (if you want to use counter set for more AoE attacks)

@gryma1313 I think the point is the Barrier on counter. If it's pretty chunky he becomes super hard to kill.

Let me give you an example: Let's say you're Smilegate. Your player base needs an answer to this "Jenua" character that everyone keeps complaining about. You pay your employees a bunch of money to design this character's kit. You hire artists to come up with concept art for them. You hire animators to create their attack animations & live 2D art. You hire game testers to make sure there aren't any bugs and that the character is relatively balanced. You hire voice actors for the character in several different languages. You hire some video editors to put together a trailer & pay someone to voice it. You pay ad companies a bunch of money to promote the ever living crap out of your new character to drive hype for them. Oh but wait. This character has to come out on June 20th! That's 2 weeks from now! And Apple & Google won't let us collect any revenue from the App Store if we don't submit our new update in advance for review. So you submit the newest patch for review. Players get their hands on the patch and dig through the game's code and see your shiny new character in the code. They pull it out, take a look at it. One person, who just happens to be a content creator, takes a look at the character and goes "HEY GUYS! IT'S SHIT!" Your entire player base doesn't think the character is good and doesn't want to pull for it. Meanwhile, your animators haven't finished everything yet, the character's balance isn't 100% yet, the trailer you spent thousands of dollars on isn't done, and you've already signed thousands of dollars worth of deals to promote the crap out of this character. Basically, your business is going to potentially take a hit money-wise cause a rough draft was discovered early. This means you're less likely to invest or try as hard in the future if this character bombs. What's the point if all our hard work is just...discovered early, before we're ready to present it? What was the point of hiring all those workers and spending all those hours? That said, the opposite side of the coin is similar. If you're looking to not spend as much money and use your resources smart...you are thankful for leaks. It's a give & take. It's nice to know they exist...but they absolutely do hurt the company (and by extension the game) long term.

They do, which in turn hurts the game. You're not wrong or unjustified in your feelings though. I'm all for protecting the consumer from practices like this. Games as a service is, to be honest, kind of a mistake. But Pandora's Box has been opened. My goal has always been to help my viewers. Hence my comment about how I felt the need to make this video, cause not doing so is a disservice to my community. That said, I still have to disclaimer it cause that same company will come for me if I don't. Understand?
