For me, BoTW felt more down to earth with Immortals being more high energy. Considering that Immortals is more of a hack and slash game, this makes sense. BoTW was less about combat and more about roaming and adventure.

@@yami7754 Botw may not be your cup of tea, cool, but it's certainly not trash. I got really annoyed playing Red Dead 2 a lot and dropped it after 20 hours but i know it's also quite the opposite of a trash game. I just haven't had the right mindset for the mechanics and a story driven game at the time. Have you ever put effort in creating anything unique or creative in your life? Seriously, what about Botw is actually trash to you, that can't be traced back to personal preferences/impatience/lack of creativity/inability to use any of the many different ways to overcome the limitation the game throws at the player? Maybe I have missed something .... But I don't think it's like Cyberpunk 2077, a good and enjoyable game riddled with some trash in between.

Games have been taking from other games since forever, doom makes a fps and now they're everywhere, assassin's creed popularises free running and city climbing freedom and loads of open world games have this feature now... to have someone take inspiration from one of your games in my opinion is the greatest flattery as your creation has led to other creations.

@@greatgamer2000 precisely, im excited to see what the future holds now developers are understanding less is more, by approaching a game with a simpler design they have more room for gameplay mechanics, more fluid combat and better handling without the game struggling to render the worlds smallest pebble... I have little care who the best developer's are wheather its a triple A or not, all I want is a good game worthy of my limited time, only the other week I was playing outward with great examples of fun and originally and hardly anyones heard of it.

Draw distance is how far objects and detail are loaded into the world which affects how far away those details and objects remain depending on your distance from them. Draw distance is one thing that is improving drastically this generation due to the fast SSD storage and more video memory to load a lot more detail at once so there is no need to restrict draw distance as much.

The two games have made immense success, and although Breath of the Wild has a shellshaded, anime look, Immortals' humour and story really interests me, and allows difficulties to enhance your experience. Breath of the Wild is like finding loads of ingredients for a taco and finding something new, while Immortals offers all the perfect ingredients and you make a 5 star recipe. Long story short, if you look to work hard, explore and have a long gameplay experience, Breath of the Wild is for you. if you look to have a challenge and good equipment to attempt to overcome it, Immortals is your gameplay persona.

The problem with Immortals open world is it's topography. It's over designed and way too much reuse of the same collinades/gazebos and parthenon looking buildings that never allows it to feel unique. Then added to how that design is implemented into how you explore, it is apparent how much of it hinges and relies too heavily on the first person inspection mode and compass. Try playing the game without the HUD and it becomes painfully obvious that exploration was never the point of the game design. Because of the vastness of Hyrule and how points of interest are placed and curated, despite it's size, you get a feeling of knowing where you are based on landmasses and topography. Places of interest have meaning behind them. It's harder to say that with Fenyx without heavily relying on quest markers and the compass. It's nice looking without the HUD, but it's unplayable without it. The issue I have with Fenyx is it gives nothing room to breath, and because of it, nothing stands out. Oh hey, look, cool, another Greek style gazebo. Probably has a useless pomegranate and minotaur fight again. The issue with Fenyx is it's just another UBI checklist game. Exploration isn't the point of the game, Breath of the Wild encourages it. BOW felt like a grand adventure the a 6 year old imagination concocted during the time of NES Zelda. The open world is as carefully crafted to promote exploration that I have not seen since Morrowind or a Piranha Bytes game. Fenyx, while good, is cartoon AC.

In my opinion BOTW really isn't for everyone, if you enjoy experimenting during exploration or combat and enjoy a more calm, immersive experience, especially if you always go "Ooh I wanna see what's over there!" BOTW is your type of game, Fenyx is a lot more frantic and intense combat wise and downtime wise, I personally prefer BOTW though, its creative approach to combat that isn't just "this is better on this enemy." is a lot more fun, you can use the materials weapons are made of, the terrain itself (and not just for cover), lying objects, etc, it's really fun, but I can understand why people enjoy Fenyx more.

I somewhat agree. I like both games but BOTW can get a little too much at times. More distractions and easier to just get lost not doing much. Fenyx is probably more pick up and play. More fun at times. And I really prefer the weapons structure in Fenyx. In BOTW I get so annoyed with the weapons constantly breaking after a few fights! I will go back to BOTW again at some point. It is an excellent game. However it does require a lot more time which I just don’t have right now.

One thing that immortals fenyx rising did that's safe would be the gliding. In BOTW if you ran out of stamina you'd plummet to your death. But in immortals fenyx rising, they have it so that you glide slowly down with your wings, safe and sound. Another would be the Perry system. In BOTW you needed to hit it correctly or you would not hit it at all. In immortals fenyx rising you had a little second or two window, and you didn't need to have a shield out to do it. Even if you didn't hit it perfectly, it usually would work unlike in BOTW where it was a lot less forgiving. Also, The taming system for your rides was a lot harder in BOTW since you needed to be a little more sneaky and also needed to have enough stamina not to get bucked off. Then you had to sign it up at the stables. And you couldn't call them in certain areas. While in immortals fenyx rising, you just had to sneak a little bit behind the animal, and then just click a button to insta tame it. It also automatically becomes yours without having to bring it to a stable. You can also call it at anytime or place for the most part. I enjoyed playing both games, but the puzzle designs and the combat I found was a lot more harder for BOTW compared to immortals fenyx rising. So I recommend ppl who are looking for a little more relaxing play to go with immortals fenyx rising. While the ones who are looking for more of a challenge to get BOTW. Imo.

All I can say, is I had as much fun playing immortals as I did playing botw on the switch. Originally played it on the Wii U and it wasn’t the same. But overall I love both games.

i love immortal fenyx rising but botw will still be a unique game. genshin impact borrowed some of these interactivity as well but it lacked in world interactions and honestly it is too grindy for a single player/coop game

This isn’t a fair comparison since BOTW is a switch only game they should also do Immorals on switch

Botw is considerably more appealing to look at, and the graphics will age much better than immortals

Audio quality in THX 5.1 setting is absolutely insane in Immortals. I find that BOTW has more spirit, more soul, but Immortals feels polished, clean, and clear cut. They're both awesome games, especially on a gaming pc and a 144hz monitor. So, so silky smooth.. ahhhhh.

Didn’t really know too much about Immortals before this video. After seeing it though, I’m definitely picking it up on Series X when I finally get my hands on it

PB_andJames I think it is a very enjoyable game worth playing. Just frustrating in a lot of well, "Ubiosoft ways" if that makes sense. Also definitely download latest patches first. That is a must.

Its how Ghost of Tsushima took the formular of AC and made their own thing out of it. Immortals is a unique game that took the exploration of Zelda to make a combat and god challanges focused game. Fight with godly powers against godly enemies and get over riddles and challenges while using ur powers. Thats Immortals basically. While Zelda is a slow paced sandbox with many creative interactive tools at ur arsenal

I enjoy them both equally honestly. The big difference for me is the enviroment change and Immortals doesn't have as much to discover. I feel like it would be a lot quicker to complete immortals than BoTW. I'm only about 6 hours into the game and have done so much already yet I'm 75 hours in BoTW and still have SOOO much to do and discover. For someone deciding what to buy I would suggest getting BoTW first and then if you enjoy that then you'll enjoy Immortals.

The coolest part of both of these games... is finding the hidden areas! Easter eggs to either past games (Zelda) or locations for certain gods (IFR) and I do appreciate the informative commentary on certain things (Hera throne: never would have guessed it was hers) both games are cool! I’d recommend either games to anyone although IFR is smaller map and the gods looks just awkward. Zelda is too big IMO and looks like an anime to me.
