I HAD Ares Wrath and still had no idea. Honestly pretty dumb that they just assumed you'd know this since there's no reason to assume the ability would help you with these dumb jumps. Just obviously thought it was an entirely "combat-based" ability. Dumbbbb

@@DatHombre sometimes they give hints and sometimes they do not. I'm not entirely sure how the hint system works unless there are bugs that prevent the hints from showing.

@@Mannyocrity Mostly there are no hints. You find puzzles in all sorts of places and if you can't possibly solve them, you wonder if you need a God Skill or whether it's a story quest!!!

Why would you realize it? The game is great at giving you little to no information on pertinent things like that. Without videos like this you could waste a ton of time just getting frustrated.

For anyone wondering, the spheres replenish your stamina. They do not offer any speed boost. While there is a constant stamina replenishment buff for the area, spamming Ares Wrath will still quickly deplete it. The orbs are there to help counter that. It is strange how they are placed though, as if there was a period where flying here did deplete your stamina. Makes me wonder if this challenge was nerfed at some point.

I got Ares Wrath because I’m a Stun/Thorns/Stone Glare build lover and I didn’t ONCE think about the FREE jump! 🤘🏻❤️ Edit: I forgot to clarify it was the first Godly Power I purchased. I got the Hammer yesterday. 44 hours in and I barely scratched the surface because I love farming and exploring too fucking much. Damn that Lover’s Embrace for triggering my OCD…😅😢

So FYI, you don’t need to have Aries wrath as a skilll to do the trial; you’ll get it with the other godly powers during the trial. You can do this at the very beginning.

I figured out aries wrath for the first part but did not realize it could be used in the air so always came up short on the wind tunnel lift jump. I am going to try that and then try to figure out the rest on my own and come back to finish the video (and maybe to get more tips if there is more jumping stuff).

Thank you. It took me 15 min but i was able to figure it out once you showed me Ares wrath can be used in the air. Edit to add. Weird I had a ceberus (3 headed dog) along with the 2 guys in the second fight.

I'm playing on easy on PC and the "easy" mob spawn you got? I got a third mob, a boss Cerberus-type creature that was probably the hardest thing I've fought yet. I died mid-fight and did this neat rebirth thing but that only saves you once, ha. I finally finished it, just shy of 35 minutes, so if that was your first time at sub-5 minutes, you should be proud. I'm pretty stubborn and didn't look up a walkthrough until about 20 min in, but I'm glad I found yours, it was very helpful. I hadn't earned Ares's Wrath yet so I'd never used it before and didn't know how but your vid taught me, so thanks.

There are 2 of them, one is the main vault of Athena and the other I in the next building that has the doors closed and I can't open them to get to the vault. can you help me, please and thank you

I can’t control the flying how do you flap the wings and make it seem like it’s easy. All he does is fall through the air ducts but on this video he actually flies.

So a challenge in the first area you start in requires you to be leveled up to the point where you have 15 health bars and a bunch of skills. So frustrating that this game gives you no clue about the difficulty some of these challenges present until you fail tons of times. Thanks to videos like this I can figure out that I need to just move on or maybe just quit this game altogether. I enjoyed it for the first day and now I am just getting pummeled with these insane challenges that I am not prepared for. Another Ubisoft failure.

I loved this game and hope you stick with it. This vault was added right before the first DLC came out. It was a poor decision by the developers to put it in the beginning. The one thing they could have done to make it better is to give you the required skills and points needed to complete it. It is just suppose to introduce you to the next expansion.

@@Mannyocrity I am enjoying it for the most part and like games that offer a challenge. I was at a point where I had not leveled up and had not acquired any skills. Basically trying to hit the easy challenges to get loot for leveling up. Figured the starting area would have easier challenges, that's where this challenge came up and obviously was OP for me to take on. I did collect a lot of stuff and went to the Hall to cash in, well even with hours worth of gathering I only could level up 1 weapon and my armor and helmet. I was able to get a few skills and have some in reserve for the next run. As I said the game doesn't tell you much about many things. Finding myself searching the net to figure some stuff out but now that I am a few days in I know what to expect and just have to search when I am stumped. Without videos like this I could be struggling with these challenges that I really have no realistic way of completing. I am focusing on chests and ambrosia and quests I can complete. Glad this was on Gamepass as I would not have paid for it up front, but am enjoying it ATM. I imagine there will be an influx of viewers to videos like this now that it is on Gamepass. Thanks for the video and explanation of this challenge.

The flying parts near the end can be a bit tough. Just take your time. I find I run into problems when I start to panic.

Ares wrath is a God power, so you'll need to get it from upgrading at mount Olympus. If I recall, you need lighting bolt which you get from tartarus vaults. This vault is put near the beginning, but it really shouldn't be. It was not in the original game when it was released. It is an introduction vault for the next dlc, called A new God.

at places like 1:08 and 1:26 and so on, why are you not using the shield-dash instead of knifejumping 2-3 times ?? Also the damn flying mechanic in this stuff is soo annoying imo

Honestly didn't think of it at the time when I did this. Check out this video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qa98i5em3JOVZps.html it is basically the same trial (tartarus vault), but in A New God DLC and you'll see I do use Dash at bit more. I couldn't agree with you more about the flying mechanics. There are several trials in the new DLC that took me a while to perfect and even then it is very easy to mess up one little thing and then you are hosed. You have to do it absolutely perfect.

The biggest issue with this vault is that it is near the beginning area. This vault was added to introduce you to the next expansion, so I was already really familiar with the controls and movement. It was added like 2 months after release.

in this particular challenge you don't need Ares perk. they give it to you. you have all the perks unlocked

good info to know. When it first came out you did not get ares wrath. This is a good change because having this vault at the starting area has caused a lot of issue for new players.

there is definitely a disconnect. If you have the talent it recommends it, if you do not have the talent it never mentions anything. It is very strange.

I played for a while before this time trial came out. This was an introduction to the New God DLC. It is poorly placed in the starting zone, so a lot of people do it right away and some might not even have the need godly powers to complete it. You can increase your stam by spending Zeus's lighting bolts at Zeus's bench at hall of the gods. You get Lighting bolts when you complete tartarus vaults.

My guy doesn’t move after you use Aries wrath so he just goes up but then doesn’t move forward to go over the laser bars it’s so frustrating.Your guy just flaps his wings no problem my guy doesn’t move he goes straight down FFS it’s been an hour time to quit 🤬🤬🤬

1:29 ... This is one issue I have with this game. Far too any combinations of buttons to hit to complete actions. Massively over complicated. I never liked that in games and mostly avoided using them. ... Have only played a few hours of I:FR. Have noticed all the controls for stuff like this, but not learnt any yet. By the look of this puzzle I will give it a miss.

I hear what you're saying. I think the button presses would be easier with a controller, but I do not like the movement with controller, so I've stuck with mouse and keyboard.

@@Mannyocrity I may be just being outfaced at this point, since I only have a few hours in the game. I am sure I saw one move that needed three button presses memorised. (Dodge-shift-attack - not so bad really.) It's not like I could not learn them. It's that in some games with even simpler button combinations, I forget the moves anyway. Plus learning all the key-combinations for moves in the first place. Plus however my hands get bad with heights in games. They become hard to move and go badly mushy sweaty-oily.

This is really stupid. Game gives you this very early in game. I had no idea that I can use these spears multiple times. I only have throwing rocks unlocked atm.

I can see your point and I'd be frustrated too in your shoes. This was added after the game was out for a while, so I understand your frustration. I wish they'd give some hints for vaults like this and say you need this skill first. Once you have the skill it tells you to use it, but if you don't have it first it says nothing. You can hit your head against the wall for a while and never be able to complete it or even get very far.
