Can you make more immunology videos, because a vast subject, and i think many people, other than me need them ( cytokines and chemokines, Dendritic cells, MHC, B-cells development, immunological synapse). Thank you deserve so much more recognition.

In the book Essentials of Medical Microbiology, It says that both TLR 7 & 8 respond to ssRNA. . Any which way, I'd like to say : All your videos are precise and extremely informative. Thank you so much!

What prevents RBCs and platelets from normally undergoing apoptosis by the Natural killer cells? Because these cells do not have nuclei and hence lack MHC-1.

Love what you're doing. Super helpful. Just wanted to point out acyclovir is a guanosine analogue not an interferon. Otherwise great lectures!! Keep it up.

Nice video. I thought- Protein Kinase R is inhibiting the eIF2 by phosphorylation.Therefore, the cell can not doing proteinbiosyntheses of their own and the virus proteins. The enzyme destroying virus DNA or RNA ist RNAse L, which is activated by the 2'5' OASE (also activating by INF alpha and beta).

Thank you so much for such an amazing lecture. Are interferons only secreted by infected host cells (like tissue cells) or can immune cells themselves secrete them like monocytes?

Hi Zack, thank for your amazing videos, I just think there is a mistake here IFN gamma is not secreted by macrophages, it is secreted by TH1 cells and Natural killer cells and work on macrophages, IFN alpha and Beta work on natural killer cells

Just a quick note you mentioned that TLR 8 responds to double-stranded RNA which is incorrect. TLR8 responds to single-stranded ssRNA and not dsRNA.

According to basic immunology (6th) by abbas and Lictman TLR-8 respons to ssRNA and not dsRNA.

ss or ds is either umimportant, the point is to understand and remember basic concepts, not the example

Nope, basic concepts answer these questions: what is a TLR? and what such things do it do?. You dont need to go into too much detail cause it's impractical. If you wanna be pratical, for your records, TLR8 not only recognizes dsDNA, it also goes for ssDNA, ARN and some proteins in specific conditions. You see how complicated it is ? So do not mention it's basic concept.
