An interview with Imogen Stubbs by the late Terry Wogan on his 1980s BBC1 chat show. This interview was shown on BBC1 on 19th July 1989.
She talks about her starring performance in the excellent BBC 1988 adaptation of D.H.Lawrence's "The Rainbow". She also talks about her, at the time, soon to be appearance in the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Othello. Both are available on DVD.

Wogan at his worst. He didn’t do his research. He asks questions about what her mother thinks and then finds out that she is dead.

She's very pretty, but trying too hard to sound terribly fragile, and misunderstood. Just what the world needs, another actress. Her voice is sickly sweet.

Weird how, in the 80s, even people who didn't speak like that....... spoke like that. Imogen never had that girly, upper-crust, wafty voice or child-like mannerisms (I knew her).. But here, she does. Odd.
