This is my first time with Bosch Impact driver 12V. This one is more quality that Bosch cordless drill with previous video • Lithium Battery + BMS ... ,
In this video I fixed the switch, rebuild the battery pack 12V 6400 mAh with new charger, cleaned internal parts, add new grease and clean the impact drill housing.
I hope you find something useful & enjoy this video!
I am happy to receive your feedback, advice, suggestions to improve myself.

Older Bosch tools were no joke. Seriously, how well made is a tool that can be brought back from that awful state? Not to mention the skill needed to bring it back? You sir, are the master at tool resuscitation (and improvement)! Nothing short of amazing.

Bosh is good compared to what? Sry but I get broken bosh's all the time for free. As example my metabo still kickin after decades of abuse by two or maybe 3 generations and full House de and reconstructions. Bosh blue and only blue was reasonably good back in the 80s.

Having been on the tools for a number of years and having a collection of old but good condition battery drills etc, you inspired me to fix them. 18650 batteries have just arrived, awaiting the charge controllers. Thank you for the inspiration.

Dear Bosch ! Please send him a new speed adjustable trigger to this drill, he deserves it ! Again a good example to make value from something what everybody thinks trash... and reducing the horrible huge trash pile what humans made all day. Fixing things not just fun, valuable... but one of the ways what is save Earth !

The change over to the Lithium pack was the best move. The power stays there until the very end. Then it drops near instantly. But you will get so much more use out of every charge...

Nice restoration! One thing you need to consider is that if you use a 40A BMS you need to make sure the batteries are rated for that current otherwise it can get dangerous. You need batteries rated for at least 20A in your 3s2p configuration. I've never seen 3200mAh batteries rated for that kind of load. High capacity lithium batteries have high internal resistance and get very hot when loaded above their rating. They can get damaged and even cause a fire if they get internally shorted.

McG Great comment. I was worry about the use of that BMS issue, too. It's very important to choose the adequate BMS type and connect correctly to every pack of battery's for rate recharging. Sorry about my poor English!

I wondered about the SSSC being submerged in water if it would work right again, luck has it they built it to fail in the fully closed state. Really a good hey I went all the way through this and repaired everything about it video, sir! Very nicely done!

I model my restoration videos on your videos because your videos are clam and relaxing to watch. If possible, buy "blue" Bosch tools as these are slightly better quality.

18:57 here I would suggest adding a layer of isolating paper on the top of the baord, just in case the steel clippers may touch it.
