@HassanWilliams-xp5xn If you can afford to leave then it's easy, ( you have to pay for your flight again) otherwise best to wait for the Airline to cancel the flight then they have to get you back home. I too am visiting here but I'm blessed I'm at my house and feel as safe as can be expected. I'll just take it easy and await the airline getting me back safely❤❤ 🙏

@val6112 I'm sure Delta American United and Southwest have start canceling flights to Jamaica. I'm sure they are issued waivers to change schedules for stuff like this

God of the universe, please weaken the force of Beryl as she makes her way to Jamaica and the other neighbouring islands. I pray hard that the impact of Beryl doesn’t result in too much devastation and no loss of life. Jamaica 🇯🇲 stand strong. As big as that hurricane is, any surface winds that are near Cuba’s eastern mountains hopefully will weaken the hurricane. I noticed this happen with Hurricane Irma in 2017 when it came towards us here in southern Florida.

Here’s a question… What is a better scenario… For this hurricane to slow down to maybe 15 mph rather than the 22 ish now to allow time for the dry air to attack the storm, or for it to maintain this forward speed? I have always kept up with these storm especially in the West Pacific because of my ties there in the Philippines as this storm reminds me of Hayan especially because of how far south this storm has run … btw obviously we wouldn’t want this to slow to like 6mph because then rain would be as big of a story as surge and wind …

Slower speed means more rain over one area and Jamaica is highly susceptible to flooding. Kind of two bad choices to be honest, no better scenario . -Rusty
