@@pastpresentmotorcars5231 NICE! Impala's at that time were sporty, but also classy cars. For me, putting any racy aftermarket item on them only cheapens the car.

Continental kits add to the vehicle imo especially the extended bumper ones...I feel ya though, to each it's own 👊

Dont care for the Continal Kit ..looks like add on too much bling..could use 348 or 409 up grade..

I had a '59, Roman Red with 348, factory air. When the 348 seized I put in a 409 Hi-Po.

I bought a 1961 Chevy Convertible in 1961. Used but with only a few hundred miles. It changed my life. Girls galore! LOL. But, alas, the draft forced me to avoid the Army by enlisting in the USAF. With a pay of $78 per month, I had to sell the car.

59 was my first car White, red interior, convertible, Impala 348, automatic, for $150 in 1967. 8 year old cars were already considered older models because things changed so fast. It was already a barn find! But I crashed it. Didn't have a place to fix it except on the street. Wish I did. But..... I Pulled motor and found a $25 Biscayne 2 door w/ post that only needed one fender. Used the 3 speed it came with and put in Hurst floor shifter and that was lighter & fun. doubled my money and bought my first motorcycle. Remember gas was only a quarter back then and everything got 13 mpg.

61 CHEV Impala was my first car, I think it was fairly rare. It was Baby Blue Convertible, 348 with 3×2 solid lifter cam, 350H.P. w/ 4spd. & posi. It also had bench seat. It was a fun car, I was 17 yrs. Old at the time. As the Ole saying goes, if only I knew then, what I know now. Sure have so many great memories, as i'm sure most of us do!

All I can tell you is not to give up .. it will happen .. 64 was one of my first loves, I’ve had about 3 or 4 of those and they are and always will be iconic .. I currently have a 65 P’impala & a 71 C10 that’s been in the family since 73 and it’s sitting idle right now but God willing it will be started soon .. my 65 is all original except for the sh*t I did to it like a stereo system and rims during the summer months.. still has the original stereo in it so it appears all original with the other hidden.. oh and I have the 08 bagged in my profile pic .. stay safe my Impala family and good luck with your 64 I can’t wait to see it cuz I know it’ll happen.. keep grindin ..

KEITH KEEFER....My 2017 Impala Premier has 52000 miles only been in the shop for oil changes. I have the 3600 V6 powerful performance great gas mileage. I hope you don't have that 4 cylinder they are underpowered for such a big heavy car unless it was turbocharged like some of the Silverado pickups have the turbo charged 4 cylinder.

@@mikedrown2721 pontiacs in the u.s weren't chevrolets, they were bigger and nicer, with pontiac motors and a thm400 trans.
