@@Jaebird88 A better analogy is if a guy offers you some drugs and you take them. If you don't call the police, you get in trouble for taking those drugs (if they find out of course). You're only a criminal if you take the drugs, not if someone offers them to you. Trump's crime is not that he was offered information, it was that he didn't contact the FBI saying that he got information from a foreign government. But, yeah, I agree. Expecting a normal person to report their own crimes is dumb, in this instance Trump knew he was committing a crime, that's why he didn't say anything up until now.

I appreciate how funny this line is, but it's not about calling the FBI "about their own crimes"... what's being asked for here is calling the FBI about _potential_ crimes, telling them "somebody wants me to commit a crime". Trump wouldn't be held accountable for that, nor should he, except if he fails to calls the FBI about it as he has signaled he will.

Almost 4 million jobs created since election. More Americans are now employed than ever recorded before in our history. We have created more than 400,000 manufacturing jobs since my election. Manufacturing jobs growing at the fastest rate in more than THREE DECADES. Economic growth last quarter hit 4.2 percent. New unemployment claims recently hit a 49-year low. Median household income has hit highest level ever recorded. African-American unemployment has recently achieved the lowest rate ever recorded. Hispanic-American unemployment is at the lowest rate ever recorded. Asian-American unemployment recently achieved the lowest rate ever recorded. Women’s unemployment recently reached the lowest rate in 65 years. Youth unemployment has recently hit the lowest rate in nearly half a century. Lowest unemployment rate ever recorded for Americans without a high school diploma. Under my Administration, veterans’ unemployment recently reached its lowest rate in nearly 20 years. Almost 3.9 million Americans have been lifted off food stamps since the election. The Pledge to America’s Workers has resulted in employers committing to train more than 4 million Americans. We are committed to VOCATIONAL education. 95 percent of U.S. manufacturers are optimistic about the future-the highest ever. Retail sales surged last month, up another 6 percent over last year. Signed the biggest package of tax cuts and reforms in history. After tax cuts, over $300 billion poured back in to the U.S. in the first quarter alone. As a result of our tax bill, small businesses will have the lowest top marginal tax rate in more than 80 years. Helped win U.S. bid for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. Helped win U.S.-Mexico-Canada’s united bid for 2026 World Cup. Opened ANWR and approved Keystone XL and Dakota Access Pipelines. Record number of regulations eliminated. Enacted regulatory relief for community banks and credit unions. Obamacare individual mandate penalty GONE. My Administration is providing more affordable healthcare options for Americans through association health plans and short-term duration plans. Last month, the FDA approved more affordable generic drugs than ever before in history. And thanks to our efforts, many drug companies are freezing or reversing planned price increases. We reformed the Medicare program to stop hospitals from overcharging low-income seniors on their drugs-saving seniors hundreds of millions of dollars this year alone. Signed Right-To-Try legislation. Secured $6 billion in NEW funding to fight the opioid epidemic. We have reduced high-dose opioid prescriptions by 16 percent during my first year in office. Signed VA Choice Act and VA Accountability Act, expanded VA telehealth services, walk-in-clinics, and same-day urgent primary and mental health care. Increased our coal exports by 60 percent; U.S. oil production recently reached all-time high. United States is a net natural gas exporter for the first time since 1957. Withdrew the United States from the job-killing Paris Climate Accord. Cancelled the illegal, anti-coal, so-called Clean Power Plan. Secured record $700 billion in military funding; $716 billion next year. NATO allies are spending $69 billion more on defense since 2016. Process has begun to make the Space Force the 6th branch of the Armed Forces. Confirmed more circuit court judges than any other new administration. Confirmed Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch and nominated Judge Brett Kavanaugh. Withdrew from the horrible, one-sided Iran Deal. Moved U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem. Protecting Americans from terrorists with the Travel Ban, upheld by Supreme Court. Issued Executive Order to keep open Guantanamo Bay. Concluded a historic U.S.-Mexico Trade Deal to replace NAFTA. And negotiations with Canada are underway as we speak. Reached a breakthrough agreement with the E.U. to increase U.S. exports. Imposed tariffs on foreign steel and aluminum to protect our national security. Imposed tariffs on China in response to China’s forced technology transfer, intellectual property theft, and their chronically abusive trade practices. Net exports are on track to increase by $59 billion this year. Improved vetting and screening for refugees, and switched focus to overseas resettlement. We have begun BUILDING THE WALL. Republicans want STRONG BORDERS and NO CRIME. Democrats want OPEN BORDERS which equals MASSIVE CRIME.

I hope he doesn't get a second term mostly so I can watch him be an asshole in a safe, consequence-free environment. He's a TV celebrity. One with an atrocious ego unfit for office. But he technically didn't do anything illegal, he just admitted that he wouldn't have any qualms acting as president like one of his contestants on The Apprentice. Honestly, even if you think Trump would absolutely do something illegal to win office, the Russians are much more careful. To say they'd rely on him to be their man is an insult on the country with 70 years of KGB oppression practice. They know better. He was openly more pro-Russian than Hillary, so they destroyed her name. Not much different that the United States interfering in every government they could in the latter half of the 20th century to thwart communism. Actually, they managed to do it without any assassination, just prodding political divisions and strategically releasing the gross things politicians do to secure America's dominance on the world stage. A master-class effort in information warfare, really.

And since the R's in the house ignored the last 3 years of gathered evidence, including information gathered solely because he's the president, I still believe they won't care about any promises made either. They're a bunch of corrupt loonies, the classic caricature of politicians seems like an everyday person compared to these people! I dont want to be a Debbie downer, I wish it would get a fair vote and ignore party lines, but with the house vote being 99% partisan we only got him impeached because we had enough dems.

MrSinister718 I am not arguing with a single thing you say but here is a thought for you. Donald trump keep insisting that China is paying for his import tariff, which is WRONG. He is lying because I can tell you that I’m in a industry where this tariff hit us hard. China doesn’t pay a dime more because it doesn’t cost them anymore to make what is already being made. Guess who pays the import tariffs of Donald trump? That’s right! It’s Americans who does. Why? Because the tariff is applied to products coming into the United States and the importers, American companies, are the one that is paying the higher cost. That in turn is passed onto the consumer. No China is not paying any more than necessary. They ma drop prices to get the sale or have sales loss, but they ain’t paying shit for your stupid tariffs.

@Jin Nin (I once wrote this when there was 'no news' announced on John's Facebookpage. Back then, nobody read it or cared. So here it is again :) ) The story of Emma Jansen. *_Why John Oliver didn’t get accepted to Hogwarts._* It was a cold, winter's evening and while the wind swept through the dark, narrow streets of Hogsmeade, a cloaked figure left footprints on the snow, as he strode along the empty shops. No one knew him here, no one would recognize him here. He was safe. His pace grew quicker with each new gust of wind and it wasn't long before the Hogwarts castle stood in front of him. When he turned to his left, he almost jumped with fright. A figure with a hooked nose and greasy, long hair, stared at him. "Name?", the person asked. "Oliver..", was the answer. "Oliver Twist? Man, you orphans know where to find Hogwarts....listen, you're too old to join, I-" "Jóhn...Oliver...", the stranger explained. “Oh…right you had an appointment with Dumbledore?” Without saying anything, the man with the hooked nose, then opened the gates and the cloaked stranger called John Oliver, stepped forward and shook the snow from his head. He followed the man through a long set of hallways, up a lot of stairs and passing by a lot of confused students. “Is that the new Defense of the Dark Arts teacher?”, a Ravenclaw asked. “He won’t last a day…”, a Hufflepuff muttered. At the end of a long set of stairs, there were two large statues. The man with the large nose knocked on the door and the other man with the large nose, John Oliver, waited a moment and then carefully opened the door. Inside the room, there were lots of shiny items, globes, sets of glowing potions and a large bird with glowing golden feathers. John walked with small steps, as not to knock anything over and sat down in front of the desk. Only then he realised the desk was empty. “H-hello?”, he asked. There was no answer. On the desk lay an arrangement of items, including a diary, a ring, a box of sherbet lemons and a small wristwatch. John leaned forward and noticed the large indicator was pointing at the 10, rather than the 12. It wasn’t time yet. A bit more relaxed, he turned to his left and leaned back a bit, taking a good look at the large, redgolden bird next to the desk. It was very silently sitting there, like it was contemplating the existence of the universe. Or it’s preparing to attack me, John thought. In an attempt to seem friendly and not at all intimidating, John grinned friendly at the bird, waving his hand with a barely raised arm and nodding respectfully. The bird sighed. “Alright, well..sorry for disturbing your thoughts..”, John apologized and nervously shifted back and forth on the seat. The bird was still staring with this weird look on its face, while some feathers fell to the floor and it sighed again. “Do you think he’d mind if I take a sherbet lemon?”, John thought to himself. He grabbed one (or three) and started sucking on them, while a rustling noise in the back of the room caught his attention. Carefully walking through the rubbish and items, John moved to the back and heard the noise again, louder. It came from a window, very high up. If he could júst take another step back, he’d see the source of- “BAM! BOOM! CLANG!” A large metal globe had fallen over and with a eardeafening ringing sound, was now making its way through the crowded room. “AAAAH STOP STOP!!!”, John yelled and ran after it, but as soon as he’d reached the desk, the ball (that seemed to have a mind of his own) had started spinning in circles around it. “Stop! STOP!” John jumped on the chair and wondered where the sudden source of heat was coming from. A short look to his left made clear that the bird had caught fire. “JESUS CHRIST!” He leaped from the chair, but was immediately tackled by the ringing globe and from the floor, witnessed smouldering bits of bird falling down from the stick. John gasped, his legs trembling as he stood up and moved towards the stick a second time. (The story will continue in my next comment)

Most conservatives loved him and now voted for one of the most democratic parties, because they were against him and we now have the chance to change our country for the better. Ps: our ex vice president is trying to get back into politics, which means the people that still support him will split the most conservative party in half and they probably won't get into parliament anymore. They don’t give a crap about the Constitution and whatever they said when they took office. It’s all about staying in power, no matter what. They knew they their own people would see them as sticking to their guns (literally in some cases), while Obama would look bad for not being able to get bipartisan bills. They didn’t care about their constituents or their duty. It was a way to get power, plain and simple. John could actually joke about how Mueller found no Russian collusion and Rachel maddow talked about it for two years. Now that's joke worthy. But John relies on you for money. Young people.
