Nobody ever thought vanilla builds can be this amazing! Most of us can't even build a nice looking airport with workshop support.

One of the most realistic airports I’ve seen by far! I’d like to highlight a few areas that you can consider for your next project to add realism: - Minimize the amount of trees within the airside of the airport (gates, taxiways and runways). Trees and bushes attract birds. And we don’t want birds flying around causing birdstrike. - Parked aircraft should always face inward from the taxiway it enters the apron. Planes don’t do reverse parking 😁

This looks like Europe meets Florida! I love the idea of a remote runway. It reminds me of Schiphol in Amsterdam. So far, one of my favorite airport builds.

I'd legit visit this airport even without a flight to catch, just to see the style☺️ Honestly they should add the airport terminal roads as a usable bus road; they look great but sadly you can't use them☹️

I've always like the way you use monorails for transporting people between terminals, very unique. Impressive build! The cut-scenes to airport announcements are great bonus as well

this proves that mods not always make the buildings look good! Great job, as an aircraft enthusiast myself the "island" airport runway kinda reminds me of a Real life airport in Tokio, and also if you want to make your airports look more realistic (if you don t feel like the ones you make aren t realistic enough) make the runways around 250-300 units long. Why? well this is around the size of a real life runways, so id recommend 280 unit long runways for big international airports, 200 units or less for smaller airports and less than 150 units for small regional airports. Oh and also i would love to see more airport speedbuilds, in fact thats the way how i found out about this channel. Just searched in youtube "City skylines airport" and your 2020 island airport video showed up.

Amazing job!!! The only thing I'm a little skeptical about is how close the roads around 14:50 are to the runway. Airports are huge areas and require a TON of space, and it would likely be unsafe and potentially dangerous for the cars and people near said road from the close proximity to the jets. Either way, I couldn't build something as cool as this in modded Cities Skylines, so props to you man! Your skills are out of this world!

Absolutely love the build Imperatur! I like how you didn't intersect the perpendicular runways like most would be, it's unusual and nice. Also love the detached runway across the river. My new favorite airport despite it not being IRL. For your knowledge, the air traffic towers are called an ATC (air traffic control) tower. At 13:57 the runway approach lights (the pavement substitutes) are on the wrong side of the runway; they need to be on the landing side. In reality, both sides of a runway would typically have approach lights but C:S implemented one-way runways. Just some realism tips if you want!

Wow, another amazing airport! So, you said this took 4 hours to build! So here is a challenge for you. In those Cities: Skyline Red Bull competitions, they limited you to 30 mins! So, what kind of impressive airport can you build with in that time frame? Clock is ticking......

Thank you for the time and your investment into building the airport. The terminal buildings are the delineators of road construction. All taxiways do not have adequate turning radius. They should be round 67°, not 90. No short strips of grass around the apron of the airport. Strips of grass are airplane death traps destroying landing gears. No water features between terminal building and aircraft. 3000 foot extending every runway required for glideslope/approach and NAV. When building and airport, stop at your terminal building. Use an aeronautical chart to build your runways, taxiways, aprons for the airplane side of the terminal buildings. It's not that hard. You can also take a birds eye view for any airport and copy those with your mods. You have to realize aircraft never conform to regular roads/streets. That said, the primary focus needs to remain on having fun building. I know you want to build the best, so no trees (no birds) no trains (no monorails/trams) allowed on airport grounds. Underground, OK. Limit terminal building high to 4 storys and 4000 foot clearance at ends of all runways. Tower must see everything on aprons, taxiways and runways. No obstructions allowed. Otherwise add multiple towers and zone the views, 360° in all directions. Again, HAVE FUN! Thanks for the hard work folks. I love this amimal.

The only thing missing to make it truly realistic would be some distance from the obstacles at the end of the RWY’s, still a very nice airport!

Love the work and effort put into this.... Looks great!! Here is some FYI.... There will never be trees / bushes on the airport grounds anywhere aircraft are moving. I live near a MAJOR airport and asked once about no trees and such. The reasoning is birds. My airport has trained hawks that are let out to scare off all the birds. One bird strike on an aircraft can bring it down. Just as a mention. BTW, keep up the great vids. I learn a lot from them.

Here's a tip imperatur. Remove vegetetion next to runways and taxiways that's a major mistake when making an airport. Bu your videos are nice to watch so keep it up.

Nicely done as always. Just surprised you still have yet to use the larger airport terminal entrances and the terminal hubs. They're pretty typical additions for large International Airports where all the food courts and boutique shops are.

Doing this in vanilla is so impressive to me. I would lose my mind if I didn't have Move It!. I swear, that one mod has been probably the most impactful thing on my experience of the game, even with the DLCs. Like they're amazing, don't get me wrong. I don't think I could go back to the base game anymore with or without mods, but I feel like I'd give up DLC before Move It! most of the time

It looks really good and clean. Runways are really short compared to real life though. International airport runways tend to be between 3,000-4,000 meters

Looks great, but could use some high speed taxiway turnoffs from your runway… don’t need to be connected, just under the runway tarmac. Or alternately with closely placed concrete paths.

Fantastic build and the music just makes the time FLY! But C:S needs to do something about the AI so that planes don't merge into and unmerge from each other, nor take off directly over the one in front of it (I saw you noticed that too 😉).

from a safety perspective, this is unacceptable, but this is cities skylines, the game where you can drown cities in oceans of shit but actually this is fire, keep it up
