Imperial Egyptian Stud - The Early Breeding Program

This video is a study of the horses Imperial Egyptian Stud brought together to create one of the most successful Straight Egyptian breeding programs ever. In addition to footage of the exquisite horses they imported and bred, there are numerous photos of their ancestors and explanations of why those horses were chosen and what characteristics of their ancestors made them the horses they were. Some of the horses shown are *Serenity Sonbolah, *Serenity Sabra, *Fawkia, Nazeer, El Deere, Sid Abouham, Nazeer, Moniet El Nefous, Farah and too many more to name. It's a wonderful study for anyone interested in breeding or history.

Haven't seen this pic of Ibn Rabdan & again WOW . Reading this I love but seeing it is a gift. Thank you sooo much for all these videos. Is after 4am & couldn't stop watching.

Really, I would not have bought many of these desert breds. Too many straight hocks which give a very stiff hind action, some were clearly overbuilt, straight heads, which is not really a fault, but those small eyes set close together definitely is; plus saddle backs are a severe fault, especially on a young horse. Pedigree is not everything, as those faults usually tend to breed on... Still it is interesting to see those famous mares and stallions as these are rare and precious photos. Using a stallion with some of those severe faults and match him to a mare with a lesser confirmation problem and then eventually produce a horse like Morafic or Moniet el Nefous is like painting a picture and later being awarded with great honours and prices for having produced a masterpiece! Well done breeders! To know from years of experimenting with bloodlines, mixing and matching, eliminating that fault and excepting a smaller one in return hoping for a correct horse that can perform different tasks or just a particular one and has a good confirmation and on top of that eye catching beauty and a gentle disposition... that is truly a finer reward for hard work than anyone can ever hope for! We all bow to conscious breeders like Al Shaqab who give us Ghazal and Marwan! Thank you a thousand times!!!
