Forged during the Unification Wars to build the future strongholds of the Imperium, the masters of Fortification and Siegecraft would earn vast glories with their reunion of their Primarch Rogal Dorn.
Defending Holy Terra during the Horus Heresy and the final battle of the Siege of Terra, the sons of Dorn would be remembered as the stalwart, brave and indomitable defenders of Humanity.

Pretty nice of Rogals boys to inform a family that their son has 'made the grade' as an Astartes. They might even give a stoic 'thumbs up' and stay for a quick cup of tea and fortify the family's dwelling. Noice!!! ;)

Only cause the iron warriors never got the praise the imperial fists did. Perturabo wanted the praise but didn't get it. Dorn didn't want the praise but he got it

@@I_am-lost.That's how an astartes, or even a man in general should act, you do what you do because it's your duty, it is it's own reward, you know you did the right thing and tried to make the world a better place and that's all that matters. Also not all iron warriors were so starving for attention as perturabo was, a shame they got to have him as a primarch.

@mcarlinod you do realise it's human to want praise? It's human to be told good job. While we should all be able to do duty without praise if necessary. Those who our duty surrounds should still thank us. Most humans need validation, and as the primarchs are humanity magnified, this applies to perturabo as well. The emperor should have given perturabo praise like he did with most of the others. Only other ones he didn't were outcasts and pyschos. It isn't really starving for attention if you get any. He isn't horus the man, so loving of attention that when he never stops getting it, he coincidentally turns traitor real soon after

My introduction into Warhammer was Helsreach, by Aaron Demski. The main protagonists were black Templars. Aaron did a great job encapsulating the extra-human essence of the space marines and I was hooked. Thanks for this.

I'm just a casual 40k tourist, but I've absorbed a lot of lore....so I don't really have any 'investment' in who's the best or whatever...but, it would seem to me, that without Dorn...there wouldn't be an Empire in 40k unless it was a Chaos Empire in 40k. You see....in every martial conflict, ever, in history, in virtual wargames or speculation, the most important strategic determination is who gets to control 'time'...when, first, where, second, who, third, how, fourth...and it seems to me that Dorn seized away that first strategic element from the initiative Horus tried to get over on.

So i have a teacher that shares my love to wh40k and is a ultramarine's guy and i asked him about what legion i would be in and he said the imperial fist (mostly due to rogal's personality in tts) and i don't see other legion that fits me best

Hey quick question have you ever considered putting together a playlist for explaining the universe to new-ish people? Basically a "what's going on, who people (and xenos) are and how'd humanity get here" I've had a few friends ask about the setting and I've pointed them your way for the finer details about the big name characters. Kind of something to help people get their footing lore wise.

Sigismund is my favorite character in 40K. Especially his time as the Emperor's Champion and the first High Marshall of the Black Templars. The 7th legion was the bulwark against the the darkness and the shield of humanity. Thank you for showing them some much deserved love. Can you do the Raven Guard a video like this please? They are the Wall, they are the Bulwark, they are foundation of the Imperium, and without the Imperial Fist the Emperor Dream would have die in the Siege of Terra. The Imperial Fists were a truly crusading force worthy of entire campaigns of reconquests and reunification of mankind, but it was the final battle of the Horus Heresy that truly solidified the Imperial Fists legacy forever.

Or... because since he was busy building his Terran webway, he wanted to fortify Terra just in case the capital world was besieged by anyone while he was busy, they would have time to counterattack. Though there are theories the Emperor knew his sons would betray him though not being able to pinpoint who would remain loyal, he expected Corax and Jaghatai to betray him since they were wildcards, but was shocked they remained loyal.

You can put Sanguinius on the list since Horus remarked he was the type who loves the thrill of battle much as the Emperor, and the fact his Legion has been tested. With their trials with the Red Thirst and Black Rage. But Russ of all his sons is among the most loyal alongside Dorn and Lion.

Still stupid that each chapter only has 1000 marines in a genre where battles are HUGE in scale, even 1000 wouldn't be enough to man 1/10th of the phalanx, or indeed one of the smallest frigates. GW really has an issue with scale. Hopefully in the new lore changes Bobby G will rescind his stupid, stupid order to limit chapters to 1000.
