To the Question at 25:25 Shaykh Asrar mentioned Palestine & Afghanistan as free economies but did not mention Iran's economy that despite being under Western Zionist sanctions for last over 40 years has built itself as a survivor and not only has it found alternative routers to sustain its economy but has utilized its resources and ability to become a regional player which is backbone of the Axis of Resistance fighting on behalf of Palestine and Al Aqsa.

There not really under sanctions though are they? “Ghost ships” carrying 2 million barrels a day of oil, being sold, as “the order” turn a blind eye, is proof that the sanctions on Iran are really a sham

People used to live in lawless land in Syria. This guy, like many who think like him, probably didn't have to deal with any governmental agency there. There are unwritten laws to govern lawlessness in there, i.e.. bribes, having to pay tribute for military thugs when having to do any business deals, the fear for one's property, the houner of his family, their life to be violated at any time by any low life who affiliate themselves with the aasad regime. Yes, those things are far more prevalent now, but that doesn't mean they didn't exist before. My uncle was a very, very moderate sheik, masjid imam. He and many others were questioned, jailed, and beaten just because they didn't have razor shaven beards. He used to use a clipper to leave no more than a couple of millimeters of hair length, but that was too extreme according to the regime. His lectures were very mundane and don't talk about politics or takfeer or anything close to that, just regular things like zakat, prayer, fear of Allah... When he, and others get jailed, their family don't expect that they will see them again. They don't dare to go and ask for them or their whereabouts. Many imams or even mosque goers would face similar problems for doing very minor and unintentional things. A guy who used to work in Saudia came back to our town and once made athan. There they don't make salah on prophet after athan, while sufis in syria do. So out of habit he didn't say salah after athan. He was dragged and many of his close acquaintances because they were being "radicalized". Have you ever heard of the marxist Christian who was jailed for all his life because he was "of the muslim brotherhood". Yes, that happened in syria. Things didn't have to have anything to do with religion for some. Any argument with a thug or if you don't give in to their extortion, they would bring in an alawite high official to threaten you with. Things were cheap there, but what he didn't say is that wages were shit. In the 2000s, sure, you can buy dinner for your family for 3 dollars, but your wage is 100 dollars a month, 150 if you work 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. All that, while Syria is considered one of the richest countries on earth in oil and natural gas, phosphate, and many other natural resources. I bet his whole nonchalant attitude towards Syrian suffering is to make excuses for his mawla "sheik" albouti. Those sufis love their shieks more than they love truth or even good. I used to be one of them. I used to love Bouti. But at one point you have to face the truth. He was a stooge, a pawn. And if you have been in Syria for real, I don't believe you are naive. You must also be a stooge and a pawn like your mawla albouti.

Dilly, if you want to know Why Shia has leadership, while Sunnis do not - read about tobacco uprising in Iran. Shia world has a functional religious structure (mrajai) that gave birth to Iranian revolution, its constitution, and when their Imam calls for a 14-yr old to go into the battlefield, Shia women obliges! I am a Sunni from Bangladesh, but was curious about it at great length, and took free online courses in Coursera, read books for seeking truth. Here, I MUST clarify that we have irreconcilable difference with Shia aqeedah. Sunni world is in denial - as in your podcast both Sheikh and you presented Afghanistan as an independent country, while both of you did not mention that Iran has no dealings with IMF, WB, or any other western financial institution. As a matter of fact, there were 3 countries among a few more that are outside of western financial system - Iran, Libya, Yemen & Afghanistan. Shia theology: "every day is a Karbala", meaning that this world is full of oppression, and according to a fighting group in west Asia, western world never understand the mindset of the dignity of a Muslim, insofar as to sacrifice his life for "noble lineage"! Have you ever looked into Iranian constitution? It is a masterpiece, which has a proven track record of "success" that Sunnis not only lack, but deny its significance even when the country is under embargo since 1979, even when the whole world was against them during Saddam's invasion! The Guardian Council exists so that no one can hijack their system, and the man who is running for president is properly vetted - does not become a Gorbachev. No "revolution" started, or will be allowed, without the consent of Western hegemons. When McCain, Lieberman, Graham who are instrumental in promoting settler colonialism in occupied Palestine, and also visit Syria to "liberate" Syria, and Muslims support Syrian "second Arab Spring", it only shows the hollowness and heedlessness of Muslim ummah. In lay man's term, no one should destroy their home without having a plan to build another one that will replace it. I agree with Sheikh mostly with his political outlook as far as South Lebanon, Houthis, however the world knows that without Iranian assistance these resistance forces would have been futile, and he never mentioned Iran! We are limited by our thoughts!

At 36:40 about the origination of this term Axis of Resistance, was as a result of a term called "Axis of Evil" used by George Bush Junior when he was US president, he used it to describe Iran, Iraq & North Korea as an evil axis. As a result then Iran referred to its own resistance against US imperialism as Axis of Resistance. This term is now used for the alliance which today comprises of Iran, Houthis, Hezbollah, Hashd Al Shabi, Syria's Assad govt and Palestinian Resistant groups like Hamas and Islamic Jihad. So dictators like Gamal Abdul Nasser, Iraq's Saddam etc. were all Western backed at one point in time hence they can never have the same respect, dignity as todays Axis of Resistance.

Thank you and may Allah bless you, Dilly and Shaykh Asrar, for having the courage, honesty, and generosity to openly state that Sunnis can align with the Shia in resistance to imperialism (while maintaining theological differences), that we should not judge the intentions of Shia resistance fighters, that the Shia are more organized politically and this is due to leadership. Such statements are extremely rare, and they will bring many blessings and open many doors of productive unity, and protect us from the schemes of imperialists. Sunnis and Shias are Muslim communities that consist of humans who display faith, wisdom, and nobility, and also humans who display various errors, weaknesses and misdeeds. We can believe one side has flawed theological beliefs, but this doesn't mean they are evil people with nothing positive. I believe there are many things Sunnis and Shias can learn from the unique historical experiences and intellectual traditions of each other, without affecting theological differences. Sunnis have generally not studied the religio-political tradition of the Shia in the past two centuries, and I think they would benefit from looking into it. Shaykh Asrar noted that it was after the Iranian revolution that the Shia were politically revived by Khomeini. It's true that there was a major shift after Khomeini, but he was part of a process which began in the late 1700s, and if Sunnis study this history, they will find it insightful. There is a short paper written by a Sunni political thinker, Kalim Siddiqui, that deals with some of these insights. The paper is called, “Processes of Error, Deviation, Correction and Convergence in Muslim Political Thought” (1989). The paper can be found on the following site: kalimsiddiqui.com/writings/

An important prophet's hadith about Axis of Resistance that should be mentioned: Abdullah ibn Hawalah (r.a) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said "It will turn out that you will be armed troops, one is Shaam (Syria), one in the Yemen and one in Iraq." Ibn Hawalah asked "Choose for me, messenger of Allah, if I reach that time." He replied "Go to Shaam (Syria), for it is Allah's chosen land, to which his best servants will be gathered, but if you are unwilling, go to your Yemen, and draw water from your tanks, for Allah has on my account taken special charge of Shaam and its people." (Abu Dawud) Ash-Shaam (Syria) here means Jerusalem, Palestine where Prophet Muhammad ﷺ received revelations. Shaam also includes Jordan, Lebanon & modern day Syria. - Its not surprising that Houthis from Yemen, Hezbollah, Hamas & Islamic Jihad in Shaam and Hashd Al Shaabi in Iraq could be a reference to these troops.

Shaykh tried to hijack the term "Axis of Resistance" and those who don't know its history are impressed lol. The term was coined by Iran and its allies to refer to themselves in response to George Bush calling them an "axis of evil". The Resistance Axis specifically consists of Iran, Hamas, PIJ, PFLP, Hezbollah, Syria, Hashd al Sha'bi in Iraq, and AnsarAllah/Yemen. Abu Ubeida, Yahya Sinwar, and other Palestinain resistance leaders have made this clear many times. And while mentioning Afghanistan and Palestine as free Muslim nations, it's curious that he doesn't mention Iran or Yemen, which have maintained their freedom from Western domination through blood, sweat, and tears. Also, Syrian govt did not oppress the Sunnis on a sectarian basis, rather on a secular nationalist vs Islamist basis. He specifically mentions the early FSA but ignores the much more powerful sectarian groups like Al Nusra, Ahrar as Sham, Jaysh al Islam, etc. While there were sincere actors against the govt at the beginning of the war, the US had been preparing for Bashar al Assad's ouster since at least 2006 in coordination w Syrian dissidents. There's a clear bias here lol

At 55:05 Shaykh Asrar is at the right point when he says that the Syrian fighting groups were numerous but leaderless and that is why their so called revolution (largely backed by Zionists, NATO and Gulf states) was bound to fail. Comparatively where Syrian groups failed Afghanistan's Taliban succeeded in their uprising and revolution because they were fighting under One Ameer and remained consistent in their hierarchy of command despite a long 20 year period! A leaderless revolution vs a strong leadership is the key. The host dilly is wrong when he argues abt gaining backing from a non-Muslim power for sake of establishing Islam because those backers were not at the same level, they backed from a power of position while these groups were at the mercy of these backers. Today no Syrian rebel group has fired a single missile towards Israel, why?

If you want to talk/know about the Axis of resistance you should bring in the originators and supporters of the said agenda ie the Iranians, as much as Shaykh Asrar is respected, it's as if bringing a plumber to talk about intricate workings of electric.

Why hasn't he mentioned the largest free Muslim country Iran, free from the world bank, the IMF and American imperialism. Perhaps all those questions should have been asked of Sheikh Imran Hussein, instead shrouding him in darkness and asking him silly questions.

Afghanistan is free only for 70k people which are Taliban and the Rest of people locked down by Taliban, if a nation don’t have freedom and democracy in Islamic way how we claim that they’re free, Do you know Taliban getting 60 up to 80 million dollar per week from the US, Do you know man can’t get a hire cute the way they want, there’s a lot of thing to say but let’s judge the fact people are suffering from hunger and poverty under Taliban Rules, but Taliban Bailey getting bigger and bigger everyday. Thank you may Allah keep all of us from hell and put us in juna.❤❤❤
