Primary focus is on Court of Owls, a modern Bat-sterpiece, but we also dig into Joker, Zero Year and more... We were also very drunk, so we inadvertently skipped over a lot too.

I binged the whole run in a couple of months. They had a ton of the trade books available at Ollie's discount outlet. Really helped make it afforable. Hell of a good time. Kind of sad to see it end.

I'm re-reading this incredible run. I have read it all digitally a few years back, and I got all the hardcovers and it's still amazing and I'm super glad I got these books. EVERYONE, specially new comic readers who wanna get into comics, should read this.

Yep- def a high-water mark for DC during this time period. I'm hoping to revisit this run in the future because we barely scratched the surface of it. While Court of Owls is great- I feel remiss that we didn't even bring up Endgame, which I feel is one of the best Batman/Joker endings of all time...

Capullo in spanish is pronounced "capuyo", but he is Italoamerican - I believe, so he pronounces it "capulo". Great video btw. :)

Is it recommended to start New 52 after I read Return of Bruce Wayne which I finished yesterday?

I think so? Morrison went on to write Batman Inc, which technically is the true successor to Batman & Robin and Return of Bruce Wayne... but Snyder started writing the main Batman title at this time too.
