Hello Ajahn Khemevaro, You saved my life. I am writing this 15 years on since I first watched this video. I have completely changed my life, my thinking, the way I do things - I am not the person I was anymore and I am so grateful to you. I was seeking everlasting happiness and you showed me the way. I am on that road now and there is nothing in this world I could give that would express my gratitude. Much time has been spent pondering on all things, of me and myself, of things that are and aren't. I have grown so much because of this teaching from you Ajahn Khemavaro. I wish I could meet you just once. Thank you for everything.

way back in 2008 when i first heard this talk, I was at the very beginning of my buddhist path. This was a very powerful and influential talk for me back then, and is still wonderful 8 years later as I listen to it as a monastic. I don't know where i'd be if I did not find the BSWA channel all those years ago, much gratitude and appreciation from a junior monastic in America.
StudentofthePath This is the same for me, but in 2010. I started my buddhist journey from this video also, and has since transformed my life for the better. This video to me is more valuable than anything else in my life.

One of the best talks I have ever seen. Very knowledgeable. The talk itself is very good, but also I always wondered how he delivers the talk so well. He speak from his heart and he speak directly to audience.

The last 5 minutes cut through a lot of my usual mental garbage. "This is not the heavenly realm, so of course there will be pain." My fussy thoughts stopped dead right then. I think all my life I've been thinking that I should be in the heavenly realm instead of the desire realm. Huge wake up call. Many thanks!

Thank you for this teaching Venerable. There is so much fear in me ... fear coming from all sides of my life. At times, I just want to die. So the title of this talk “Everything will be Alright” is what I desperately needed to hear from a friend. Sadhu! 3X !

Thank you for your wonderful talk. So unpredictable, present enough to pass from one "lesson" to another and then to tie them all back together again to the value of the present moment. I was given a beautiful insight about a grudge I've been trying to release, now I know that what I've done so far is "Good Enough".

As a Buddhist, I must say that Buddhism IS a religion, because it was necessarily developed through historical-social processes and cultural phenomena such as "rituals", which are part of human traditions. This fact must be respected and not be denied.. BUT at the same time, it is also NOT a religion, because there are very great correlations with modern rational sciences such as Physics, Psychology and Neurosciences. This is the beauty of Buddhism.

I agree with SC1F1. I too have listened to this particular talk many many times. Often in times when I feel disheartened and down, this is my go to talk. It is very much a comfort to hear these words. Ajahn Khemavaro has a very down to earth and somehow reassuring warmth to his talks. I wish it was possible to hear more of his Dhamma talks.

These teachings are not for all minds and 1 time / moment or place. Everyones mind is at different level of different subjects of life. So....meaning if you don't understand now ....you will see these talks later. We spread Helpful / Positive and based on facts of life. No matter what the translation might unfold for you, doesn't mean it LIFE will skip you. LIFE will be here and these struggles and suffering of the living will be here. We just want to explain and get in depth of LIFE! Thanks for the lecture

im new to this, but i a few things in my life was causing me to feel stress and depression. i started watching a lot of ajahn brahm and within two weeks i started getting little waves of being positive, i started thinking more about other people, it helped me to see where i was going wrong in life and it helped me to let go of the past. even people i hated, i no longer hated. that to me is blissful enough.but i promised myself that i will get more into it. i can make sense of it, where Christianity just didn't feel right to me. it felt more like doom and gloom

Hello, and thank you, @BuddhistSocietyWA for all of your supportive lectures on "being". I have a question today that was the first of which I felt was worthy of even reaching out about. Q. Why are the "things" (ppl, objects, possessions, ideals, ect...) so powerful over us? I try so very hard to "let go" of the "stuff" that tends to over my mind. And in some strange way it seems easier to release the "good" "things" (in thought I guess...) like praise from others, or "happy" moments but it seems we tie, link or bond some things to our identity that change our mood in drastic levels they seem uncontrollable so much that it's almost shameful when looking back. IDK, it's like u loose control (mentally ) when faced with the loss or gain of these "things". Thank u for your time, OTJ
