1. scan less soft t/s 2. scanner inserted bucally & ask to close mouth to scan most distal 3. scan along the bite line, + manual points

Very good presentation, thorough and complete. The digital occlusal registration is a lot more precise than the analog one with waxes or VPS materials. The main reason is the lab doesn't need to hand articulate the models with the bite record - in the digital world it happens automatically. Even if intersections may pose a problem, it is much less than the other option (analog).

Hi.. thank you for the presentation.. if we would like to scan a bite in centric relation… how can we do it?

Hi.. You need to first isolate the patients centric relation position by deprogramming(using either kois or lucia jig) Once its repeatable and reproducible, Scan the patients occlusion with the deprogrammer inside the patient’s mouth. While scanning the centric position, the patient’s head should be reclined .
