That second point about the body "steering" the mind struck me. He is right in the middle of that first decan. In Tarot, that decan "contains" the 8 of Swords ( one of Jupiter's cards). That card is about being overwhelmed, bound and blindfolded by thought. The "advice" is to simply choose a direction, any direction, just to break the deadlock. That seems resonant with the story you told. Breathing, simply moving forward without having to choose the "right" thought.

I had a run-in with a cousin who hit me with some real ableist talk about a few different health conditions I deal with. He told me that if I had just disidentified with my role as family scapegoat a long time ago, the last 40 years of my life could have been very different. (said in a tone of agitation.) In reality, I am just figuring out the root causes of my CPTSD symptoms. Family scapegoating abuse, which can also be subtle, and that has been ongoing, is part of that. He just kind of did it some more then told me I shouldn't be so wrapped up in concepts. He's a horse's ass anyway, but I'm thinking Jupiter in the 8th house for me so far is the shadow stuff of others, too.

Jupiter in 12th for me. I've definitely noticed that I've become more scattered. I think of doing something but as soon as I leave the room I get sidetracked by something else and just forget what I started out wanting to do. The first signs of insanity??? Another 12 months of this??😩I do have an active 12th at the moment which will shift early July. But then I still have the ruler of the 1st in the 12th, where Jupiter is hiding out. No getting away from it.

🙏🙏🙏 #4 is so important because it is so silently pervasive in the psyche. I think as a strategy to secure personal safety and comfort with the environment and people around us, we think it is important and (if it comes easy) necessary to equate people with ideas. If they are this X-idea, then this is where I stand in relation to them and therefore this is how I can feel superior, inferior, ambivalent, etc. But we forget that people are not ideas, even the people we know well.

I’ve been really surprised how physical of an experience Jupiter’s transit through Gemini has been for me. It’s transiting my fifth house and has been manifesting as a focus on learning/practicing enjoyment and relaxation, which feels unfamiliar and foreign to me. The shift from mental into more physical engagement with my experience is completely counter to what I’d expected with the Gemini energy! I’m digging it though!

Adam you may already know this but when you were talking about holding apparently opposing yet equally true ideas (eg humans impact on nature) you are talking about dialectics!! Being able to hold dialectics are something we purposely teach people who have big struggles managing impulses and their nervous systems (dialectical behavioral therapy). So basically what you are talking about is a really important skill for emotion regulation❤

As a Gemini Rising and Stellium in Virgo (Sun, Moon, Mercury, & Mars) I approve of this message lol. I was cracking up at your Vegas stories and loved your 5th point of view especially. I've always been someone who (probably annoyingly) tries to get everything crammed into one understanding at one time. Because otherwise I'm misunderstood. And it always bothered me immensely when people would argue about things that were actually not contradictory in my understanding at all. Like your brilliant knowing that at one level we need to do the right thing as a human being here to learn and grow and be the best we can. And on another level, we live in a world occupied with shadow and limitations designed to help us grow so yes everything is ultimately natural in that sense. Natural that we will struggle and make mistakes individually and collectively. It's as natural as children growing up and learning about their world.

I went to Vegas for a week for a wedding celebration. I don't gamble. My cousin and I found it interesting enough to walk around. There is a lot to see, and people watching is interesting. Our whole wedding group ate out together a few times. We went to a concert. Some in the group did do more gambling and imbibing/partying. Some went to the cannabis store. Yet I didn't feel out of place for doing my own thing.

Foreplay & Imagination Are Foundational to Healthy Relationships (Platonic & Romantic) I had this epiphany a couple of weeks ago while watching Showtime’s ‘Couple Therapy’ season 3. Ping was telling a story about what was supposed to be a romantic date with Will. She attempted to initiated some flirtation at the dinner table and Will’s reaction was this sort of comical/cartoonish and obtuse wink. When it came to love and relationships Will was kinda stuck in this childlike and immature misunderstanding about depth and connection. He didn't realize (likely because he truly didn't love Ping and was unaware of it) that a very important part of a romantic relationship was being imaginative, especially where foreplay and flirtation is concerned. So Will’s reaction to Ping’s flirtations was this sort of sarcastic and awkward (let’s get this over with) Peter Griffin response-unable to take what was happening seriously or to be aroused by it because his unchecked trauma of his mother abandoning him kept him in a cycle of reaction and immaturity. I had such a eureka moment watching this. This is what had previous happened in all my relationships. Not only am I on the spectrum but I’m Black and transgender and I realized…although it’s easy for people to say they're allies, when it really comes down to it, people are intimidated by these identity expressions and it’s difficult for them to “play along”. But I notice this! And its stressful. It’s emotional neglect. Even though I indulge people-like my stepfather in his fantasy that he's any good as a father or a man, he struggled to affirm me in my identity and expression as a trans woman who is very direct and honest. I indulged many of my so-called friends in their whims and interests but many of them have had difficulty affirming my ideas that imagination is more valuable than knowledge. I once told a friend we should take a trip to Six Flags and that it would be a great bonding experience for us. She said it was a childish idea and we were too old and wouldn't have fun. Weeks later she announced to me that she'd gone to Six Flags on a whim with other friends. I was devastated she didn't invite me and even more hurt she thought I’d be interesting in hearing she went without me even though I’d suggested before. Because of my desperation to find connections with depth in others I’ve failed to implement the boundaries in my life necessary to build authentic relationships with people, largely due to the fact that my immediate family has always refused to affirm and celebrate me. I’ve just been tolerated not knowing there was a lot more to be had in these relationships. So I’ve always thought this was how every relationship is supposed to be. I’d never considered that my own family was just irredeemable and that I was actually better than them and deserving of a much greater connection. That's an uncomfortable reality to sit with. If Jupiter in Gemini has taught me anything, its that my idea that imagination, fun and games are integral to healthy relationships is true. It’s not that I’m strange or awkward or that I require too much from others. In romance, friendships, familial bonds, even business relationships-this “foreplay”, the ability to be imaginative and reflective with others is so important to these connections.
