I would love a flower market in this "modern" style, or a pointillist style. I am so worn out with the traditional watercolor techniques that I have stopped painting because I don't have any joy doing it. This one was great fun and I will definitely paint it. Thanks.

Matisse and Frida are my all-time favs. But I adore Hilma af Klint, O'Keefe, Tarsilo de Amaro, Grandma Moses, and Florine Stettheimer. I have had the opportunity to see all beautiful works by all of these talented women.

I love it. The impressionist’s have always been my favorite. Would love o see more tutorials like this. My favorites are Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh and Matisse of course.✨🥰✨

This was a very exciting video for me. I am a quilter not a painter but want to incorporate these techniques into my art quilts. It's a bit more challenging with fabric instead of paints but I love the impressionism paintings and want to create that look in my art quilts. Thank you for sharing your inspiration.

I agree with the others....love this! Please do some more like this...perhaps we can use one of our past pictures as a reference and repaint it this way. Or in another impressionistic style. So much fun!

this is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon in the backyard for this kinda painting, just dabbling around and mixing gorgeous colors.TFS.....all impressionists are my top artists. I love also abstract and graphic arts.... some I did in Europe, but now I am into Mixed Media.

I just back from France... I spent a day at the D'Orsay taking in the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist galleries. I could have spent the week in them. I love the dreamy color and light and I love the movement and energy. Thank you for this tutorial! I'm inspired to play with a variety of graphic styles from my favorite masters!

This is fun tot do 👍 Ik love Van Gogh, but also Gustave Klimt wich is another technique with the use of a lot of gold in his work. . Maybe you can do a lttle tutorial with gold sometime ? Thx for your teaching.

I've never heard about Henri Matisse before because I am new to art, but after your art lesson, I see his art is amazing. Lastly, I am so glad you are a real artist with a degree in art. I just watched this wonderful tutorial! I have always thought that impressionist paintings looked like what I see without my glasses. Lol Your picture was lovely and inviting and as someone else said, drew the observer right into the landscape. I SO admire your ability to share techniques and skill. Thank you for all the ideas, and encouragement that you give all of us!

My favorite masters are Monte and Pissarro. We were just in Washington D.C. and were privileged to see a lot of their work at the Smithsonian Art Museum. It was inspiring.

I like the gouache-like boldness of color you got from watercolors. From watching your demonstration, I now know I don't need to buy yet a set of gouache paints to get that effect.

Yay! Bright color on my less expensive paper. Love it. I'm inspired to try a version of Matisse's red tapestry using an orange, blue, turquoise, sage greeny and yellow ochre patterned pillow that I have.

Tried it…loved it! I had just a short segment of time this afternoon and I haven’t painted in several weeks - just too doggone busy lately and I snuck this one in and it was so much fun and took me away mentally for about a half hour. Just the “mini retreat” I needed.

So beautiful! I'm going to try this! I'm a big lover of Renoir and Monet! I can't stop though, with just those two...I just love all of the old Masters! Matisse and other impressionists just melt my heart and soothe my mind!! I love this one you've just done. I love that you share so much with us! I love it! Now this is artistic freedom! Just have fun with it. I have a Renoir print my stepbrother gave me for Christmas and I love it. It's so restful which is why it's hanging in my bedroom.

I enjoyed the expression of the Masters' Art piece that you did. I like that you made it your own. I am so empressed by replicating your " feel " for what you see. Interpreting and daring to go with your flow. Very inspiring and uplifting. Do some more. I am going to try some of the greats as well.

Yes, pointless with transparent overlap. Might be fun to only use cyan, yellow, magenta and black to mimick 4-color printing. Roy Lichtenstein?

Great tutorial…where to start-I like & appreciate so many artists-but of those in the past…the Impressionists are favourites…Especially Monet…I would love to see flower markets in this style….a UK artist ,Paul Riley while painting in Monet’s garden called this type of painting”action painting “…seems appropriate,a favourite illustrator is Alphonse Mucha..different style though
