Using the space in the backyard of his house, the Trini man built a drip to waste hydroponics system to grow organic vegetables. On Saturdays people flock to his yard to buy veges such as lettuce, cucumbers and chive. He even supplies local vegetable marts with produce from his hydroponics garden.

You can use organic nutrients for hydro... it is "organic"

@@MrTheguywiththemoney no, crops grown in plastic using store bought "organic" chemicals does not satisfy the criteria necessary to qualify for the label of "organic produce", except maybe in Trinidad, where there is no standard

@@RM-yf2lu "grown in plastic".... wtf do you think pots are made of... almost all plants are grown in plastic at some point. Also the "chemicals" you're referring to are the same "chemicals" used to fertilize organic foods in the soil. You have zero idea what you're talking about.

@@RM-yf2lu because the plants aren't eating the manure... they're using the NUTRIENTS in the manure to grow. Those same "chemicals"/nutrients can be concentrated and sold in a liquid or dry form. Organic implies natural occurring "chemicals" not human synthetic or man made. Like I said you don't know what you're talking about.

Hi Za. The covering allows the sun to shine on the plants but keeps the rain out. The guy who set up the system thinks that controlling the amount of water the plants receive is best to help them grow properly. So he has a controlled watering system so that the plants get just the right amount of water.
