This is such a well timed video for me to watch. I have been unwell and my painting is the the back burner and I have lacked the motivation and not knowing how to start again. Time to get back on the horse. Thank you Louise for all the welcome tips. ❤

Just had to comment on the spectacular birds, exquisitely rendered! It is simple to say, "prioritize art", but not as easy as it sounds. One must prioritize many things in life - health, family (if one has family), friends (if one has close relationships), healthy meals, exercise, finances, etc. Well, you get the picture. These are all important parts to our day, and anyone speaking on the subjects of health, relationships, etc. would say to "prioritize that". We (collectively) are left with a long list of priorities. How you manage to create the award winning art on your busy schedule is a marvel. Thank you for sharing your talents.

Gorgeous birds! They are also my favorite. And believe me, I understand how much goes into a business to keep it going, so I'm glad you are making the time for yourself to paint. Thank you so much for your clarity.

Louise, July is a very busy month for me (I'm a cat sitter). But I bring my paints with me. And when the cat(s) have had enough play time, I get to paint in a new environment. It's like being on vacation! I love your homemade journal gift.

I love your bird paintings. They are exceptional creatures and you capture them so well! I’m retired so one would think I would have more time to paint. I’ve spread myself thin with all the activities on my ‘when I retire’ list. 😢❤

Glad to get this video, you're one of my favorite artists. For several weeks, I didn't paint, due to lack of motivation and not feeling well. But I picked up my brushes and woke up my paint last week, and I'm painting several times/day. Some are acceptable, some are not; but I'm really trying to keep going. I do enjoy it and its very relaxing for me. Thank you for your encouragement. I really like your haircut, too.❤😊

Hi Louise, I absolutely love your videos, they are inspiring me to take up water colour painting. I'm setting up my area where I will paint. I was wondering if you have suggestions for what chair to use while painting. I know it is something subjective, but do you use a chair with wheels or arms? I would really appreciate your feedback. Thank you. Anne

Louise, Do you know what paper is used in your journal? I often get frustrated when trying to practice in journals because the paints react so differently depending on the paper you use. Thank you for your videos. I always learn from them.
@kimberlyrombautАй бұрын
The journal is made from sheets of Arches cold press 300 gsm paper 😊

I'm glad the tutorials are useful to you - thank you. Yes, as Kimberly mentioned - it has Arches paper which makes it extra special. Kimberly made the journal 🥰. The only manufactured journal I like to use is the Winsor and Newton watercolour journal.

Oh gosh, I sketched the same nuthatch! We must have used the same reference photo 🤭 but I am yet to paint it and your style is so very inspiring! Really love the colors and the looseness yet the lines are well defined ❤️ Nuthatches are one of my favorite birds, the way they move around hopping upside down is so darling!
