I just replaced mine with switch sticks and I'm happy, great mod though I just love me LEDS, still noticed a huge difference when playing cod mobile. I don't rely on the gyro as much when sniping. I'm still using the switch caps lol, been checking the mail everyday for my vita caps lol so I guess I can look forward to that too, ofc I had to rip them off to fit through the shell initially though

Yeah the vita caps are definitely the best option if you don't want to mod the shell.

I'm looking at either custom 3d printed joysticks or coming up with my own mod to make big sticks more comfortable without modding the shell, thanks so much for the video. You gave me this idea in the first place

Would the gulikit hall sensing stick for Nintendo switch work just as well with this mod?

Adding an XBOX thumb pad to your existing sticks or switch sticks is a way easier mod and doesn't require modifications to your shell. I would recommend attempting that before making irreversible modifications to your front shell..

You can still reverser it, the original housing still works, and I've tried something similar but i don't like having a cap glued on. -Aish

@@Guitario666 no it's a mod that's been going around where you glue the top part of an Xbox stick to the Odin sticks, but i think you need a 3d printed part I'm not sure what all is involved.

Im debating doing that as i want to uae the elecgear switch hall sticks. Or just go safe and get some Retroid halls. Any words of advice?

The Retroid ones are going to feel the same as the stock ones. You could just use the switch ones and replace the cap with a vita cover. -Aish

@@retrohandhelds yeahman Odin should have had regular switch sticks to begin with... And they definitely should have been raised too so these are welcome upgrades for sure

Good mods, risky but good. Personally I wana keep the light rings. Perhaps I should just replace them with Nswitch sticks?

Just adding switch sticks doesn't work that well, the height feels about the same but the cap is too big and hits the edges so you don't get full ROM. Not much risk if you follow the video, you can still go back to stock after.

@@retrohandhelds I guess Im hona leave it as is, I was thinking to replacing them with Hall sense sticks but then I hears some reviews arent great and it only makes 20-20% of difference.

@@saqqawattuhb7505 that's why I ended up doing this, it was the best option and really not that risky but i understand not everyone is going to want to do it.

Cheers Aish, interesting mod. I've been ok with a vita cap glued on top of a switch stick (including cap) trimmed in diameter for full movement. Plenty of height and feels pretty good to me. Looks fine straight on, viewed from the side ... danged ugly.

I've done the glued caps too and didn't like them, i wanted something more permanent. -Aish
