this dude rules, i think a lot of insight for people just starting, people who’ve played their whole lives, non-bassists... also appreciate how he is very authentically serious about the content but not demeaning / dismissive. hate when bassists doing tutorials on youtube call very difficult technical stuff “easy”-if it were easy/obvious I wouldn’t be here! anthony doesn’t do that, he’s a chill artist + bass lover

Accents are indeed very important. They make for great bass lines.

Thanks for the lesson! And for your awesome groove at the beginning! The example of Jaco shows very clearly how the use of accents creates a completely new image with the same tones. Pauses, maybe, sometimes have a similar effect (the pauses Miles takes are known for that). a single note ... changes the melody, everything is very sensitive and that's the BEAUTIFUL thing about the music.
