Good video, Voodu. Maybe do another breaking down your main's sources of stats to show how defensive building is done in practice, bringing attention to some bonus types people often forget, like Yug bonuses, artifact bonus from sets, profane, luck, insight etc.

one of the ways i try to simplify the value of prr and mrr not being diminishing returns is the fact that the closer you get to 100% the more value each percent has. For example if you are at 90% damage reduction and gain only 5% you actually increased your survivability by 50%. so even though stacking more prr and mrr goes down in percent given it keeps its value. Great video though too many people only concentrate on dps and forget about their defense layering.

Hard for me to say that anyone other than Brady is the GOAT, but when it comes to DDO content creators IMHO I agree, Voodu is The GOAT.

On AC: So far I've seen nothing to indicate they altered how attack rolls are made, and therefore, it can be assumed the attack rolls are still a d20 roll plus bonuses for a single attack value vs AC as a single defense value. This means the threshold for useful AC is dynamic. The range of values an enemy might get to hit you is 20 by default, but debuffs ir buffs can alter this value widely. Attack value is modified by Strength or Dexterity depending on weappn, so debuffjng those will stack with any debuff that directly impact attack rolls. Attack rolls also have a Base Attack Bonus, this will depend on a creature's "class" and their HD. This means that any given AC will be nearly impossible to beat in some cases, worthless in other cases, or in between where each point will alter your chance of being hit by 5%.

I think you need SR= 20+enemy CR to block their spells

a good SR is monk native SR + the gloves artifact from sharn. That, before the squish, allowed me to resist basically everything. Not sure with stast squish (since caster level is based on CR )

Healing Amp is so good that I prioritized paladin past lives over racial just to get that sweet free 30 to healing Amp.

Had a couple runs where having the ability to use rez scrolls would have been awesome but got my skill points spread to thin to invest enough into umd to make a difference

Took a 3 year break from ddo. Currently building a rouge artificer with past life as a rouge so trying to make a sturdier build. I assume most stats on armor do not stack? So a dex + 2 on one piece and a dex + 2 on another would not give you dex + 4? If you had an augment with dex +2 would it stack with the armor bonus?

Honestly the easiest way to explain it is the same way I have always tried to explain it to my guilties. Think about pen and paper.. every one of your "levels" of defense is like holding a defense die in your hand and for every die you have you have to roll every single one of them each time you get attacked. Which means every time you get attacked that's how many chances you get to say "Nope" that's not how much damage you did or you did not do any damage to me at all.... The more die you hold the better your chances are..

13:30 How is it that when I look up that Legendary Hardened Hide Armor on DDO wiki, it has a max DEX of 14 and yours shows max DEX 20? Perhaps it only shows when you wear it?

I don't see how I can ever reach 300+ PRR and 200+ MRR on my barbarian at level 30 :|
