THE TOGGLE IS A VERY USEFUL KNOT TO KNOW IN WOODSCRAFT. FOR MANY YRS I HAVE BEEN USING A CANADAIN JAM KNOT FOR MY QUICK LASHING DUTIES. IN THIS VIDEO I COMBINE THE TOGGLE WITH THE CANADA JAM KNOT TO FORM A IMPROVED BUSHCRAFT ZIP TIE FOR QUICK LASHING DUTIES. WITH THIS COMBO I CAN CREATE TRIPODS FOR COOKING OVER A CAMPFIRE. I CAN MAKE PACKS AND OTHER GEAR SECURE WHILE IN A CANOE TO KEEP THEM FROM BEING LOST IF I ROLL OVER. IN CAMP I CAN CREATE CAMP TABLES / CHAIRS /BEDS FROM THE WOOD OF THE AREA AND WHEN I AM DONE REMOVE MY CORDAGE AND LEAVE NO TRACE OF MY BEING THERE. THIS IS A HOW TO VIDEO SO THAT YOU CAN MAKE FROM YOUR OWN 550 CORD A IMPROVED ZIPTIE. IN TRUTH OTHER CORD CAN BE USED BANKLINE CAN BE USED BUT I HAVE FOUND IT BIGHTS VERY TIGHLY AND IS HARD TO WORD WITH IN SOME JOBS. LIKE MANY OTHER WOODSMEN I CARRY CORDAGE IN PART OF MY 10 PIECE KIT. THE ADVANTAGE OF THIS SYSTEM IS MY ABILITY TO RECLAIM MY CORDAGE AT THE END OF THE CAMP AND RETURN IT TO MY HAVERSACK FOR LATER REUSE. IT IS A REUSEABLE RESOURCE.

I like your videos but this one is a little spooky. Last night (in my time zone) I tied a paracord in the exact same way, a bowline knot at one end and prepared for a Canadian jam not in the other ... I hade not seen this video. Keep up the good work. Best regards Ulf

this is the way to always carry some cordage. Clip it to your keys! The fancy lanyards on military officers uniforms use the same "daisy chain" knot.

100 ft paracord .. 40 ft ridge line set up in quick deploy method 10 6 ft hanks for all other uses at camp .. I have found this to be an effective means as to make the most out of my paracord .. guy lines , quick tripod lashing , firewood carrier, adjustable pot hanger,, all have bowlines already tied ..makes camp set up a breeze .. and number 36 bank line for everything else ..

Nice! Thanks! Have you tried using that daisy chained hank as a soft toggle? I start the chain with the bowline at the top, and when the last loop is pulled through the bottom put the bowline thru it and then the jam knot thru the bowline. The jam knot end can be made bigger by leaving a loop in it, pulling its "pull handle" thru that loop and tightening.
