Put the weed whacker line after you cut it in boiling water for a min or two to take out the memory of a line so it has better spring. You can make your own cages out of 16 gauge wire, which is very easy with some rabbit cage clips. I barely started watching videos how to make crab snares and it’s fairly easy and pretty fun and it’s good to make them because you’re gonna need them because the crabs really messed them up good and it’s better than paying money for somebody else’s crab snares when you can make your own.

Rip off that triangle clip and throw it far away and just replace it with a Stainless Steel split ring with a heavy duty barrel swivel. You won't lose any more snares
