From a psychological aspect, this is probably one of the best videos I have watched. He really breaks down the type of behavior it takes to be a successful trader and sometimes it's not what you want to hear but you need to accept it because it's true. You cannot force the market to be what YOU want it to be, YOU have to accept it for what it is if you want to be successful.

So glad I clicked on this video. This is solid gold. Trading is like 70% psychology and 30% Skill/Technical analysis.

This is one of the TOP 5 videos on trading psychology I've ever seen.

The mindset to be a successful trader comes from the time invested in your education + the many hours, days, weeks , months and years it takes to find or develop a strategy, test it and go live with it using real money. This process instils the confidence to pull the trigger once the conditions of your strategy is met. Rules based strategies help remove emotions (binary mindset) that once the trigger is pulled, your faith in the strategy will provide you the edge to profit on that trade. Then the 21/90 day rule applies for which 21 days of profitable trading sets the foundation for your lifestyle that you will begin to develop after 90 days, not to mention the parabolic confidence that will grow during this time.

You plan and wait for the opportunity to present itself and take position. Then other people will have to do the rest and you just watch from sideline and hope for the best. If works, great, otherwise you move on to next trade and life goes on.

Totally agree. I gave trading up over a year ago because I was stressed, poor sleep, no confidence... Had to go back to work on myself. Proper exercise, nutrition, and sleep are key to great life.

I am trying to improve my trading by writing down why I am not entering my setup and overtrade (which is not trading your setup) I got to focus on trading my setup only rest are bullshit ...it's really difficult to control the urge to enter the market again and again .. focus is the key for long term and trade your setup only which gives you large profits and small stoploss
