Impulse and momentum are both concepts in physics that deal with the motion of objects. They are related to each other and are often used in the analysis of collisions and interactions between objects.
1. Momentum: Momentum is a vector quantity that represents the motion of an object. It is the product of an object's mass and its velocity.
- Momentum (p) = Mass (m) x Velocity (v)
- Momentum is measured in kilogram-meters per second (kg·m/s).
Momentum has both magnitude and direction, and it follows the same direction as the velocity of the object. The law of conservation of momentum states that the total momentum of an isolated system remains constant if no external forces act on it.
2. Impulse: Impulse is a vector quantity representing the change in momentum of an object. It is the product of force and the time over which the force acts.
- Impulse (J) = Force (F) x Time (Δt)
- Units: Impulse is measured in newton-seconds (N·s) or kg·m/s.
Impulse is also equal to the change in momentum of an object. Mathematically, it can be expressed as Impulse = Change in Momentum.
The relationship between impulse and momentum is given by Newton's second law, which states that the impulse acting on an object is equal to the change in its momentum.
In the context of collisions, understanding impulse and momentum is crucial for analyzing the effects of forces during the interaction of objects. For example, in a collision between two objects, the total momentum before the collision is equal to the total momentum after the collision, provided there are no external forces acting on the system.

Glass material are packed in a bubble wrappers whenever there is a jerk or external force they increases the time of collision and hence reduces the force imparted on glass material

Final Velocity = 210km/h = 60m/s. Initial Velocity = 0 m/s. Mass of the ball = 400g = 0.4 kg. Impulse = change in momentum = MV -- mu = M(V -- u) = 0.4(60 -- 0) = 0.4 × 60 =} 24kgm/s *Ans*

You are wrong. Final velocity is 0 and initial velocity is 60m/s. Because when the ball is kicked it's 60m/s and then it becomes 0 when it reaches the goal

For constant acceleration "a" & V=½(u+v): F∆t~ma·|∆x|/V~(∆K/V)F^ ~Work done per av. speed V, in direction of applied force. ~(½m∆v²/ ½(u+v))F^=m∆v. So, in theory, you could measure the transfer of energy to the wall and this will help you work out the impulse, as long as you know the average speed of the collision.

Speed of B = 210K/h = 210000/3600= 58.3 m/s .... Initial velocity Final velocity= 60m/s Mass of the B = 400g = 0.4 From the formula Impluse= mv- mu 0.4×58.3 - 0.4×60 23.32- 24 = -7/10 nm

i think that if you take ball at rest as reference point then the impulse is 24 kg m/s (if it was paneity ) , but if you take goal as a reference point then the impulse is 0kg m/s

Sir! Ball applied 2×0.1= 0.2 kgm/S, moment, and as a reaction wall applied 0.4 kgm/S, momentum, How?? But according to Newton, 3rd Law action and reaction are equal. 2nd Question is that, what's physical meaning of 0.2kgm/S momentum???? Please! Reply, I will be waiting for your reply! Thanks!

The impulse of wall on the ball .Direction of ball is changed that's why velocity chanced . Impulse=∆p =m(v-u) , we take mass as common. =m(-v-u) ,here v is negative And we know that . m(-2-2)=m(-4) I hope you will understand

Bro the Impulse on the football is 24 kgm/s. This Is because there's no rebound on the football and hence all the values are positive. Anyways, awesome try 👍
