Theo what you've got to understand is military is not the solution. Only way out is via a dialogue. Countries have tried their heart out in the past to eliminate Afghans be they Russians, British or even NATO. They have been unable to succeed and that's because you create more polarization via the use of arms. Yes there are certain elements that got to be eliminated via brute force and that's what the Pakistan armed forced are doing in the current military operation in North Waziristan and if you had done your research you would have come to know that Imran Khan actually supports that operation. But what he has been criticizing is the blind use of drones because in majority of the cases innocent people are killed. It's easy to sit on cozy sofas and lecture people around saying that military is the only solution when you have no clue what's going on in the field. The idea should be to have talks with these groups as a first option and if that doesn't work you will always have the force of military as the last option. By the way even US diplomats are conducting face to face talks with Talibans, what they came to realise now Khan figured out a decade ago. First of all lets not beat about the bush, US alongside the PPP government was the main culprit behind creating these extreme elements when it suited them best, it was all fine and dandy. They created movies (Rambo 3) to honour those "Jihadists" and had banquets to glorify the same groups. So, they created this mess and left without thinking what would happen afterwards. Secondly you looked at the term "polarization" and started assuming stuff. No one is saying go easy on terrorist groups. Even Khan doesn't share that opinion. What I meant by my statement was that there are innocent people surrounding such extremist elements. If you use drones, you are killing majority of the innocent civilians, so instead of bringing them on our side we are pushing them away towards those extremist elements. They did so before in Qatar as well, where they had opened offices for Talibans. So, if US does it's fine but when Khan suggests talks it's somehow wrong? That's the hypocrisy I abhor! Well Khan and his party endorsed the Zarb e Azb operation that's still going on in North Waziristan. That's working, look at the crime rate in the past 5 years in KPK and compare it to the years before. The simple answer to your claims is that Khan and his party have made history by getting elected in KP via 2/3rd majority. No one has done that in the past. Pathans are known to throw out governments that do not deliver. So Khan and his party have passed the litmus test. Pakistan's first democratic elections in 2013? What are you talking about? Do you even know the democratic history of Pakistani politics? You clearly don't and I would suggest do some reading first. Khan's only point in the last election was that open 4 constituencies for recounting and we will accept the mandate. The ruling party didn't do it for 2 years. This time during his victory speech Khan said if any party has any issue with their constituency results the PTI government will help them in verification process. PTI has nothing to hide, it's a national party who has mandate throughout Pakistan and it will bury the corrupt mafia forever. Well Khan does care for the lives for common people of Pakistan. His whole life has been a testimony of that. You may disagree with his political views but he is one heck of a philanthropist. That's all I had to add to this conversation. Good day to you sir!
