it felt like i was watching a vet when i was watching cason during these playoffs, he was so calm on offense and his shooting was still consistent while having clamps on defense. he honestly just played great on both ends of the court and i cant wait to watch him next year.

They are definitely built similarly. You could even go as far to compare J will off the bench to their Horford and Wallace is a mini holiday or white. Now with Caruso he can be their Jrue holiday. He isn’t as good offensively obviously but he makes the right plays. Once Chet figures out his offensive game in terms of creating his own shot and figuring out how to use his size to shoot over players they will be finals contenders.

The team that just won it all had smart guy Danny Ainge and then even smarter guy Brad Stevens running the front office. About 90% of their moves in the last few years have been real winners. When they make a wrong move, they admit a mistake and quickly move on. The Lakers haven't had that kind of front office for a long time. Magic Johnson was a legendary Hall of Famer, but he picked Brandon Engram instead of Jalen Brown, and then Lonzo Ball instead of Jayson Tatum. Even I, a Celtics fan, feel bad for those moves. I mean, OUCH!!! You picked ahead of the Celtics in both years and let Tatum and Brown go to the Celtics. That parade we had last Friday? Could have been in L.A.

Josh Giddey could be on a similar path to Michael Carter Williams and Tyreke Evans, their best seasons was really early and they fell off tremendously. Also I’m very disappointed in the Bulls organization overall. The owner does not care. I think Caruso fits better for OKC than Giddey because SGA & Caruso were top 3 in steals last year. But anything can happen in the next 2 years (let alone 9 years). All I’m saying is considering the pros and cons of both sides, the trade may end up being even or in favor of Giddey, more than people are willing to admit.

Except Giddey isn’t a good enough offensive player. He can’t create is own shot and is horrible at shooting so I think okc did an amazing job getting rid of him as early as possible.

James Harden had a 66 TS% to Giddey’s 54.7%, there’s no comparison here. Not to mention all of the standout “swing traits” like the ability to shoot the ball, and athleticism.

It’s more about fit than anything. With Chet and Jdub turning into the guys they are, and Shai becoming an MVP candidate who needs the ball a lot, there’s just no way to make Giddy fit with the rest of the team. They sent him somewhere he can have the ball more, and they get a really great role player in Caruso. It’s not always about ability, it’s about fit. And Giddy just no longer fit on the Thunder
