The moment the fog appeared and people started dying breathing, I already knew the movie was going to end with some generic bullshit like the daughter realizing she can breathe the fumes or something like that. I'm sorry, but these things really ruin movies, having things happen with no explanation whatsoever.

Only explanation I can make out of this is that the girls condition is a mutation.though they may breath human air the allergens in it makes them sick while the gas neautralizes those allergens somehow their mutation found a way to filter out the toxin maybe or they are just compatible with it.
