As kids we NEVER wanted to watch a TV show or a movie with our dad around. He keeps asking questions every 30 seconds. He can't keep up with the story, and wants us to explain it to him while we're watching. And as a black man himself you'd think he could tell the difference between actors, but no. Every time a black actor showed up on screen my dad would be like "c'est lui Denzel là?" (Is that him Denzel?) Because he can't tell who's Denzel Washington, even though we've shown him who it is for the past 30 years.
