Shockingly, a staggering 105,000 cars were stolen in Canada in 2022, marking a 27 percent surge from 2021 and the highest number in 13 years. To make matters worse, transnational crime syndicates are using these stolen cars as a form of currency, leveraging the proceeds from selling them in foreign markets to finance illicit drug and weapon operations, all while skilfully evading the Canadian banking system.
