4 жыл бұрын9.29@149.04mph with a 1.443 sixty foot at 29psi. This is the first pass off the trailer in this heavy fully optioned GN with T-bar roof. The only difference between street and track is C16 and MT 28x10.5" slick. Still has the factory front swaybar in the car with my 215 front street tires, no skinnies up front through the exhaust. Car weighs in close to 3,800 pounds with me in it.
The noise you are hearing in the burnout is a air pump I have mounted in the trunk to supply the electronic boost controller with wastegate pressure. It's setup on a pressure switch to cycle when the pressure gets lower then 89 psi and shuts off at 100psi so I always have 80+ psi that I can command at will.

@@rolltide9547 Agreed. I believe I could have done it on my next pass if my MSD didn't wet the bed. But woulda shoulda coulda doesn't cut it. It just wasn't in the cards for me that day. Hopefully next time this car gets back to the track my luck will be different. It's a humbling experience falling short of your goals when you have invested so much time and effort.

Agreed, something is not making a good connection internally to this very day. Sometimes it works, and sometime it don't. At some point I'm going to have to pull it down and sort that out.

It's not full weight if you took the air conditioning out and compressor. That's 80lbs I own 3 gns and 1 T

There is always one guy.... So I guess the 150lb I added to the car with a 4.1 stroker stageII motor doesn't count?? And the extra 100lb with a TH400, 50lb with a 4" thick RJC intercooler, 20lbs heavier turbo, 50lb with a 3 gallon alky reservoir in the trunk with lines to the front. It's heavier now than it ever was leaving the factory in 1987, but hey, what do I know... and food for thought, the AC compressor, condenser and evaporator core is only 38lbs, not 80lbs.

@@ttype01 been there done all that with duttweiler racing. You took the air out. I kept the air in mine in 2018 at bowling Green went 8.40 @ 160mph I also added weight with the 12 point cage full interior and the heaviest transmission 4l80e and a 40 LB. Parachute

I don't know what is up with Grand Nationals, there have been a lot of supercharged 3.8 L since them, but none ran like those Grand Nationals they were freaks of nature, they ran so f****** hard! And I'm a Ford guy and I'm saying this, the Grandy's could run!😊
