i think my issue with this is the lack of devlogs that lucas puts out to show backers where they are in the project. there also doesnt seem to be a deadline for when this project might be finished on the kickster. several times within the kickstarter lucas says it is a game despite the title saying its a prototype. a prototype can look SOOOO different from one another, a graybox can be considered one and even having full colored levels is also considered a prototype. i think itd be helpful for lucas to put out how and where the original $25k is being spent, how much people are on board? how many designers,programmers,artist? and how much money is going to the designated fund for black american youth? i am a game designer and i understand that being an ideas man is easy, but actually doing it is gonna take longer than expected ESPECIALLY without a timeline. There may be an internal one but nothing is mentioned. and i dont think someone streaming for 2+ hours just to find the one comment is a clear way of telling backers. scam games are so frequent that people are rightful to be sceptical.

Hey Colin, did you see Lucas’ response stream to Shteve’s video you reacted to here? He does on an hour racist rant against the guy and then gets rid of all the evidence once Shteve says he is going to make a response video to it. Recommend you watch Shteve’s second video where he responds to Lucas’ crap against his video as well. I don’t think fully defending Lucas was the best move especially given how he reacted to Shteve’s criticism

I did not expect that you would actually defend this guy, this ordeal just gives me "What If Ssj 2 Gohan and Perfect Cell teamed up" fanfic type of vibes, I was not seeing this coming whatsoever, even less knowing just how these two hate one another, Colin and Lucas. Yep this shit some anime or show or something, the character development be insane, the narrative and writing is immaculate!

i have no idea how shteves video is bad. the game is on legal thin ice they could get sued by the mountain of lawyers Disney has at any point. on top of that lucas does nothing but insult the guys appearance and go on rants about how his game isnt even copy right which literally glancing at it u can tell its a spiderman game. and dont defend the guy who tried to hide the evidence, lucas privated all the videos about it because he heard shteve was going to respond. he knew he was in the wrong otherwise he would have ignored it and kept the video up.

Im sorry for having zero sympathy on a guy who goes on racist rants as a coping mechanism for someone calling out his game looking like a bootleg. You could have literally done anything different, even something inspired by Spiderman but it's literally "we have Spiderman at home" vibes. If it's not a scam and something actually comes out, that's great but don't be surprised when someone raises an eyebrow on someone who's never made a game either

He seems very inexperienced with the process of game development entirely. Indie games take years to make, have multiple updates that range with months in between, smaller budgets, and less experienced developers. This may seem obvious to literally anybody, but this poor fool decided to compare Friday night funkin, a ripoff mobile game that rips animations, AAA games, and a project that is still being conceptually developed out of passion.

IP law is not on his side. His kickstarter page is already dilution of Disney/Sony's branded marks. It does not matter if the game comes out with different models, the page appears to any regular person to have an affiliation or license to use the Disney/Sony IP in question, and that also positions him as a spokesperson for the brands who own the IP. He has raised $25k by misappropriating the IP of huge brands, and has caused untold damages to the brand value of this IP in the process. If he later ships a game with a different character, that is false advertising as well on the consumers end. Thats two lawsuits.
