I think the new knives are the best weapon in the game. Insanely quick 2 tap and standing at an ammo box at a fort makes you a machine gun

Yes! The knives are a beast when used correctly! And they are amazing at forts and also Sea Forts! (Also they look very cool)

Blunderbuss can 1 shot someone with full health and knock people off the ship/ladder. The sniper does tons of damage, combos well with the blunderbuss, and can shoot pirates on the other ship to get them off cannon. It's not that the new weapons are bad so much as the blunderbuss and sniper are too good. Personally I think the double barrel is amazing for pve, and the throwing knives can work in PvP. The uploader should have tried using the throwing knife's charge attack. Stabbing barely does any damage and is more for finishing someone off after a heavy.

I totally agree! I love the Throwing knives, they add a lot of style to every fight! I think in another 3 months time we'll see a lot more people using these weapons, as they get better with them!

Throwing knife was cool then it started taking 2 and 3 for a normal skelly i know im hitting because its showing hit markers

That's a very good way to think about it! And, if you take the "one out of ten shots" literally, the double barrel is basically equal to blunderbuss lol….

The double barrel is so underrated. Unlike flintlock pistols the double barrel pistols have an iron sights on every skin, meanwhile only a handful of skins for the pistol have a reticle to aim better.

Yes! The throwing knife is very good at Sea Forts! Personally, I think double barrel is great for PvE as well, but I see your point!

Double is great for two quick shots when you are getting cornered, but you have to manage the reloads well. I think most people who don’t like it end up with reload management problems. 😂 They’re used to the pistol and it’s automatic reload. Double doesn’t really do that. So you get stuck with one shot when you were expecting two. Once you learn, though, it’s a good weapon. I still prefer knives, though.

Oh yeah! The reload time on the DB pistol is definitely something to get used to! But, as you said, I still prefer the knifes :)

I play on the European servers, but it's not as exciting as this video makes it seem, unfortunately... My friend Paper was actually very surprised that we got attacked while doing that FOTD! It's also very hard to find someone with decent English, which is a big downside…
